  • Actually, the Curved Dash Olds was produced from 1901-07. Ransom Eli Olds did start making cars in 1897, but the CDO was a slightly later model.

One of the four 1897 Oldsmobiles known to be built resides in the R. E. Olds Transportation Museum in Lansing, on loan from the Smithsonian.

When I attended Homecoming in 2007, about a half-dozen of these cars rode around the show grounds in motorcade under their own power. The oldest was a 1903. Impressive for cars that are over a century old!

  • I was at that Homecoming. I didn't see them driving around the show grounds but I did see 4 of them at the RE Olds Museum and they were getting pics taken for thier group. The 1903 you speak of had a Pennsylvania tag, my home state

  • Whereabouts in our beautiful Commonwealth do you call home?

I'm in northern Bucks County, but my '69 Vista Cruiser is in Lebanon County, 9 miles east of Hershey.

  • Up to 3 months ago I lived in Newtown, Bucks county, but now I'm back in Far Northeast Philly

  • I'm up in the Sellersville/Perkasie area - I grew up in Willow Grove and lived in Warminster after that.

I organized the "Vista Cruise to Hell and Back" from 2003-07 in the little town of Hell, MI as the GM Skywagon Club's annual get-together and base camp for Homecoming. I'm looking to get it back underway for 2010.

  • I used to have a sales route in Perkasie, beuatiful area

  • This car and owner are always here for Olds Homecoming. I think this car has seen more miles in the past 15 or so years than it did in all the years before.
