I was 8 yrs old when I first heard this song. It has been one of my all time favorites songs ever since, one that I still listen to, and will for the rest of my life I'm sure. Some songs are just like that. Lindsey's vocals, the melody, the instruments, the backing vocals, Mick's drumming, all achieve an "effect" that matches the emotions/meaning behind the song. I really enjoyed all 3 of your clips of this rehearsal, it's a treasure for we FM fans, thanks.

Thanks, everyone in the world should be "A Big Lindsey Fan", but that's just my opinion. Like the various guitars in this video...one I'd never seen before. I'd seen the white Les Paul, the Tele....and of course the Turner Model 1, but isn't there another Fender?

mcmc1955: Yeah, Lindsey does have a Strat... A hardtail I think, with an "Alembic Stratoblaster" in place of the original jack socket. I think its the same Strat he's been using since the 70's.

@mcmc1955 Yes you are correct, I have seen him with a sunburst Fender Strat w/rosewood neck (fitted w/an Alembic Straoblaster active pre amp boost) and also a Gibson EDS-1275 Double neck.

Love that Stevie was going to play acoustic on this tune but was passed over in favor of Ray Lindsey, Lindsey's longtime guitar tech.  According to most sources her playing wasn't 'stage ready'. This is what they are talking about in the beginning.
