  • went to one of his drum workshops :3

  • Sounds like break-core. No?

  • sick

  • For the first pattern, is he doing doubles on the snare or just ghosted singles?

  • you are great man, I learn much to you thanks! Jason

  • Thanks for doin it in steps man, great groove, lots of possiblilities with this : ) Dean

  • I wonder why he has two snares??

  • @LighterMan98 One's slightly smaller and gives a different pitch when hit.

  • is one a 14 and one a 13? or did just the tuning?

iv got a 10" second snare.. its so high pitched.

  • @big10inchs I believe the outside one is a piccolo snare yeah.

  • @LighterMan98 two snares = two snare sounds

  • @LighterMan98 cuz you can never have enough snares.

  • whats the bass drum pattern?

  • Hi mate, I have studied this for a while now and can finaly play it so it sounds the same (all beit a little slower than even the slowest demo here!) I hope I am correct in saying (please bear with me here as its hard when you cant write it out properly) the bass drum pattern is played with the high tom on the first note then every ride stroke except the first one follwing the tom i just mentioned, I hope you can make sense of that and I hope this helps you !

  • hey dude, thanks for that, i have spent a few days trying to work it out myself as i really want to play it, i thought that was the case playing with the ride so thats just confirmed it for me, cheers, il also start putting the bass drum with the first tom

  • Sounds grate, would it be possible for you make a video showing it at a slower speed?

    thanks for sharing

  • upload with greater quality, please.

otherwise, it's very good :). standard 4/4 beats are not something you can grow on, as a drummer (once, you've passed the rokie lvl)

  • It's only webcam footage I'm afraid. Thanks for the comment.

  • @quickxstar hes one of the tutors at my uni :D

  • one question? do you use the gravity blast with your left hand? because it's damn fast

  • errrm. couldn't you just answer my question... i'm just curious to know

  • Hes just playing alternating singles with his wrists in this video

  • Yeah, just singles. Not "gravity blast" or whatever the hell it is.

  • dude that was sooo nice

  • great! you rock dude!!

  • break beat with toms instead of bass drum?

    that deserves a "holy shit!"
