@rosemarydragon due to the shite new youtube layout you can't see that i wrote that comment aboutttttt two years ago. i'm aware of their fame as i've been following them all for years
that said, johnny flynn still needs a shit ton more recognition!
@toleboothprick yea, i totally take my last comment back. having to stand in a crowd of thousands of people at glastonbury last year just to see mumford and sons, especially as many of those in my way were band wagon jumpers really pissed me off. :C
MUMFORD AND SONS OWN i wish they sold their music in america eps never make it to us and well they havent rlly released a well awaited alvum which they should itd be music to everyones ears if they did
The Americans have taken to your sound. Scratch that, it's MEEE, I have taken to your sound. Hello, hello. So now that we've got that out.. love me please?
she has only released an album and an ep and has written a fraction of what conor oberst has i would say she has the potential of being as great of a writer but i wouldnt compare them as equals considering the age difference and well conor is recognized around the world laura is only known in europe and in a few places in america shes an amazing musician and writer and i do hope she gets the recognition she deserves
d drummer is an amazin guy, tlked 2 him at his gig, plays for mumford and sons along wiv marcus btw. Amazin guys, tlkin 2 um 4 ages about folk music. i shall join th folk revolution, or revival. love ya laura
a bit Regina Spektor and Dolores O'Riordan and some other tracks a bit Skeeter Davis, Rita Coolidge, a great talent who should develop into a disticnt sound over time.
People in England just like to see americans get ashamed by the smaller countries. Vietnam, Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan. Infact when did American the Capitalist superpower last win a war And with two right wing middle class idiots candidates for power its hard to see anything changing. America will continue to bulldoze its way around the world until it gets whats coming to it
i suppose one of the last wars the ameicans won was when they saved our arses in world war 2. when did this get turned into us foreign policy, which you have asserted that i agree with. i think it is a ridiculous idea to impose freedom on people, which even in its name is a contradiction and unlikely to work
You asshole. How many innocent people has Butcher Bush murdered with his insane imperialist foreign policy? You dumb fuckers need to get your heads out of your asses and read some fucking history. And cant the dumb fuck speak for himself.

So whats say we just take it all back and give Iraq and Afghanistan to the Terrorists? That way we can atone and make everything better for everyone. We'll have to find a replacement for Saddam of course. Want to volunteer?
Of course he has a double meaning. The people of Sunderland who can remember far back enough think Winston Churchil was a prick cos he stopped dole for single mothers. He also won a war with his motivation. People who get stuff done are hated and loved in equal measure.
OMG! love her to bits! prefer cross your fingers to crawled out of the sea and that she should make it one song not two and make crawled out of the sea longer....

I used to love this girl, but every live performance I have seen recently has been so poor. Her singing was really flat and just sounded horrible. When she opened for Devendra Banhart it was a different story...way back when
No, she wasn't singing in an American accent. What are you talking about.
BTW, people wearing Che Guevara T-Shirts aren't making a political statement, so get over it. That said, if we cleared up the misconceptions about him sales would certainly plummet.
I can't put my finger on what song "Crawled Ouf Of The Sea" reminds me of, but it does also remind me of a kind of cross between Bright Eyes and Declan O'Rourke
@johndehaura i am not being rude but if this is in any way associated to Abba's I Have a Dream, then I am going completely deaf. Maybe I am. She is great and very talented and i like this live session!
This has to be once of the most enthusiatic performances I've ever seen her do.

The last amalgamated section of the performance sounds like two-songs in one - being the melodies of:
"I Have A Dream" - ABBA
and
"I'll Stand by you" Chrissy Hines
+ a bit of the Cranberries to boot!
Nice work; what with the musically mental thoughts and relays of your past, Laura M.!
