  • This has to be once of the most enthusiatic performances I've ever seen her do.

  • Laura Marling: Proof that you can be precocious without being pretentious.

  • It always amazes me how at 2:18 she hits the chord and the whole band comes in at the exact same time. The sound they make collectively is amazing!

  • THE most beautiful voice i've ever discovered.

EEEEK, I THINK I'M IN LOVE WITH LAURA MARLING.

  • looks like she's crying...

  • I am seeing mumford and sons and Laura marling at the Lowlands festival (The Neths) next week. I can't wait! I hope they do another collaboration :)

  • Pete Roe sans facial hair is just . . . .

  • I love how she's wearing a Che Guevara hoodie. political statement or what?

  • Is that the guy from Mumford and Sons on drums??

  • @sam17923 yeah, marcus was in a her backing band for quite a time before m&s

  • Marcus <3

    Laura is soo amazing.

  • love Laura, but can somebody shoot that interviewer pratty woman! Wtg Laura loves yer, just bought her album its great.

  • What a wonderfull person with a matching voice!

Please don't let the greedy, 10 a penny studios get hold of her!

Nourish this talent, let it grow, let it flow. Let her do her thing!

  • annoying is lauren laverne.....if I was Laura I would punch her in the mouth.

  • Can I craawl into you arms Laura?

  • she has a pretty smiiiile :)

  • Gosh... This is brilliant. Laura is amazing. They are all amazing. I love it. Totally.

  • that woman annoys me

    lauras awsome xxx

  • obviously, laura marling robs grannies with hoodies on...

  • laura marling, johnny flynn and mumford and sons should rule the world. all of them need SO much more recognition then they get.

  • @xflashahh They have recognition now, they are great musicians and doing great things

  • @rosemarydragon due to the shite new youtube layout you can't see that i wrote that comment aboutttttt two years ago. i'm aware of their fame as i've been following them all for years

that said, johnny flynn still needs a shit ton more recognition!

  • @xflashahh yer will have to let mer know about the fame, and well done for spotting it babe! Can you shoot this stupid interviewer woman please!

  • @xflashahh Yes. Simply, Yes. Three of the greatest musicians ever.

  • @xflashahh

The more underground the band is, the more feeling I draw from it, strange feeling but a good one at that.

  • @toleboothprick yea, i totally take my last comment back. having to stand in a crowd of thousands of people at glastonbury last year just to see mumford and sons, especially as many of those in my way were band wagon jumpers really pissed me off. :C

  • she's so damned cute. i can't stand it!

  • MUMFORD AND SONS OWN i wish they sold their music in america eps never make it to us and well they havent rlly released a well awaited alvum which they should itd be music to everyones ears if they did

  • mumford & sons and laura marling ;)

  • I think in this version it's just Mumford. He seems to be lacking his sons.

...oh wait, there appears to one in the back. Is that Ted playing the bass? He's missing his facial hair.

  • Well this is a rather alternate version compared to the one on her album...

  • Che Guevara.

  • i'm american and i love laura !

  • me too!

  • who cares about the americans!

  • The Americans have taken to your sound. Scratch that, it's MEEE, I have taken to your sound. Hello, hello. So now that we've got that out.. love me please?

  • heeee regina spektor was there toooo

  • so lovely this is.

and i agree, Mumford and Sons need to be bigger than they are. they're fantastic and it kills me that i can't buy their EPs.

  • Mumford and Sons need WAY more recognition

(they were the "backing" band, as that other person said)

  • Mumford and sons....fuckin class!!!!

  • sweet

  • "I aim to please." she's so cute.

  • love the lyrics. feels a bit weldon kees for some reason.

but ya the backing band felt unnecessary. it was her voice holding the whole thing together the whole time.

  • Comment removed

  • she reminds me of Dolores O'Riordan from the cranberries

  • I just realized that she is like the female version of conor oberst from bright eyes

  • she has only released an album and an ep and has written a fraction of what conor oberst has i would say she has the potential of being as great of a writer but i wouldnt compare them as equals considering the age difference and well conor is recognized around the world laura is only known in europe and in a few places in america shes an amazing musician and writer and i do hope she gets the recognition she deserves

  • Bjoetifull!

    She looks so cute! *_*

  • Too many cooks...

  • ...make quite an interesting and tasty broth.

    Compliments to them, I say!

  • i would usually agree with the other guy, but i aggree. i prefer the album version, definately.

  • d drummer is an amazin guy, tlked 2 him at his gig, plays for mumford and sons along wiv marcus btw. Amazin guys, tlkin 2 um 4 ages about folk music. i shall join th folk revolution, or revival. love ya laura

  • Yes, we do take to your sound, Laura!

  • love this song :) its better when its just her and marcus though, sounds a more pure sound

  • i don't think i could love laura any more.

  • Oh my god the interviewer is sooooooooooooooo annoying and cringing!

  • This was a particularly bad display.....she's not so bad. I think she does a nice double-header with Mark Kermode on this show.

  • Never really heard of her just stumbled accross her stuff on youtube, some of the stuff ive heard so far is great, really liking her stuff.

  • MAN she's good

  • i met her the other day at truckfest, she played a cool set and seemed pretty cool herself too.

  • a bit Regina Spektor and Dolores O'Riordan and some other tracks a bit Skeeter Davis, Rita Coolidge, a great talent who should develop into a disticnt sound over time.

  • i agree, but all respect, her sound is already quite distinct.

  • nice to hear her with some instruments, normally i just hear her with a guitar, which is good as well

  • She is so intriguing I will melt when i see here at splendour...

  • No one gives a toss. Listen to this girl. Well talented.

  • a little delores o riordain like!!!

  • Definitely!!

  • people dont think hes a hero its just an iconic image

  • Oh so batista was a hero? you dumb asshole.

  • he isn't saying batista was good he is saying that the british obsession with a mass murderer is a bad thing, which is fairly understandable

  • People in England just like to see americans get ashamed by the smaller countries. Vietnam, Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan. Infact when did American the Capitalist superpower last win a war And with two right wing middle class idiots candidates for power its hard to see anything changing. America will continue to bulldoze its way around the world until it gets whats coming to it

  • i suppose one of the last wars the ameicans won was when they saved our arses in world war 2. when did this get turned into us foreign policy, which you have asserted that i agree with. i think it is a ridiculous idea to impose freedom on people, which even in its name is a contradiction and unlikely to work

  • You asshole. How many innocent people has Butcher Bush murdered with his insane imperialist foreign policy? You dumb fuckers need to get your heads out of your asses and read some fucking history. And cant the dumb fuck speak for himself.

  • Of course he has a double meaning. The people of Sunderland who can remember far back enough think Winston Churchil was a prick cos he stopped dole for single mothers. He also won a war with his motivation. People who get stuff done are hated and loved in equal measure.

  • She is so stunning cute.

  • Wow, long hair or short hair, she's still the cutest thing in the world.

  • saw her yesterday in ravenna great.

  • She sounds a bit like regina spektor here

  • She's so effortlessly pretty.

  • OMG! love her to bits! prefer cross your fingers to crawled out of the sea and that she should make it one song not two and make crawled out of the sea longer....

  • i think the sound check (not here singing) went wrong here and resulted in it sounding flat.

  • i love her, she's so talented and cute

  • love her. but did anyone else notice she was singing in an american accent rather than her usual brit accent?

  • no.

  • No, she wasn't singing in an American accent. What are you talking about.

BTW, people wearing Che Guevara T-Shirts aren't making a political statement, so get over it. That said, if we cleared up the misconceptions about him sales would certainly plummet.

  • if anything she sounds a little irish when she sings

  • agreed, very irish folk. Though no accent obviously.

  • I lover her even I dont like her new haircut.

  • shes sooo good live

and also the drummer is the vocalist in another band called Mumford & Sons

check them out cos theyre awesome

they supported her at the union chapel gig on her songbox tour and that concert was pretty much the best gig of my life

  • Listen to this guy - they're great.

  • The keyboard player is Pete Roe; also a real talent. If you like bluesy folk jazz check him out.

  • Love this, thank you for posting it. New hair looks fucking awesome.

  • I like her hair. She's so full of talent

  • The last amalgamated section of the performance sounds like two-songs in one - being the melodies of:

    "I Have A Dream" - ABBA

    and

"I'll Stand by you" Chrissy Hines

+ a bit of the Cranberries to boot!

Nice work; what with the musically mental thoughts and relays of your past, Laura M.!

  • I can't put my finger on what song "Crawled Ouf Of The Sea" reminds me of, but it does also remind me of a kind of cross between Bright Eyes and Declan O'Rourke

  • The winner takes all, abba... kindof not really

  • more "winner takes it all" i reckon

  • @johndehaura i am not being rude but if this is in any way associated to Abba's I Have a Dream, then I am going completely deaf. Maybe I am. She is great and very talented and i like this live session!

  • not a big fan of the hair.

  • She's great

  • im completely in love with this girl lol.

  • whoa! she chopped her hair
