OK HERE IS HOW HE DID IT...

get your mp3 player, with headphones. Slowly, extremely slowly, pull out the headphone jack from the mp3 player. while your pulling it out theres a part of the jack that doesnt reach the mp3 player. im guessing its most of the treble, but it usually cuts out vocals.
