  • The folder is an organizational tool for the project window and allows for group editing for quantizing drums etc and has no bearing on the audio processing in the mixer which is what a group is for.

  • What's the difference funtionality wise between using a folder as opposed to a bus that you send all drums to? Does a folder allow processing of all of the tracks?

  • Wow, this not only answers my questions about drum editing in Cubase 6 but also gives me some new ideas. Thanks very much!

  • Excellent video. Clear and concise without a lot of extraneous information. Perfect for intermediate Cubase users like myself. Thanks

  • GREG GREAT VIDEO Thank You . . CuBendo smokes.

  • Great Video!!

  • your voice is annoying

  • Im new to recording so excuse me if its covered in this vid. My drummer bass tends to be a lot softer when hes playing fast double kick and louder when it slower. Is it possible in this program to equalise the volume in the bass track so its a constant volume throughout?? Cheers :)

  • @AlfredTheCrab Yes, you have to use a COMPRESSOR! A compressor makes all Signals equal loud.

  • Is Cubase good for dubstep?=o

  • @zipproductionz it doesnt matter which DAW you use for it, their all pretty much the same

  • @hermantheboshkangaar treu but cubase has fell of since cubase 5 & 6 producers use a certain type of workflow, ever since cubase 5 and 6 producers had to change their workflow thats not kool plus cubase is the only one having no groove presets anymore and uses overtight groove functions ,basic 0-100 % swing is just not enough to create grooves thats catchy!for dance might be good ,but for soul/hiphop/and experimental music its not good

  • @zipproductionz nah ,cubase makes it very hard to create dubstep wobble basses !

  • @sosorawthemicking You dont create the wobbles with Cubase, you make them with plugins-.-

  • @zipproductionz the plugins from cubase itself are basic with wobbles ! so in a way you create them with cubase because the plugins are from steinberg cubase 6,i just use external vsti,s for wobbles ,plus you can take a bass from cubase and use a midi effect to make a wobble so again you create wobble with cubase :)

  • @sosorawthemicking You know that barely any producers use wobbles in Dubstep nowadays? Anyways, you dont have to use Cubase at all, i can produce some pretty nice wobbles and growls with NI Massive

  • Great summary of the new features!

  • very nice!

  • What a wonderful tutorial! Saved me so much time. Well done.

  • You do not need to use triggers. The mics will do all that you need.

  • also do you need triggers on your drum or can the mic pick up the sensitivity?

  • You will need a multichannel audio interface like the Steinberg MR816X/CSX that has 8 mic pres on it. Set up the appropriate number of channels in Cubase and hit record.

  • how did you record your live drums and have 1 track for each drum on cubase?

  • @grantbeaudry you need an interface with several inputs.
