Dropped a pg58 mic in water while it was on. blew water out of it and it kept working. also used a sm58 at a show that was beat to death and crushed in like that and it still worked perfectly

Is it just me or would it maybe take much more damage if there's phantom-power running through it while it takes a beating like the microwave and the Heineken? I know from my own experience that even the cheapest flash-drives will work just fine after going through the clothes-washing-machine if you just let it dry before putting electricity through it. So would a microphone react the same way while having electricity running through it?

@jmalmsten The test was for an SM58, a dynamic mic (which means it doesn't need phantom power). I don't know of any condenser (or active ribbon) that could take anywhere near this much abuse
