  • The ending is soo sad, makes me cry every time :'(

  • @FriendsFan0209 me too

  • The King of France is fiiine.

  • I love the king.

  • Who is song the piano?????

  • How did that french guy knew that, when and how she died?

  • I still don't get it. Why did he safe her? She could have lived "as a spaceship" for millions years. And he did understand that.

And this unlogical time-travelling (i mean, wtf? being "part of event"?) is a bit annoying. This is ok for Doctor Who, otherwise, it would be pretty boring. This is ok, if you take it only as a comedy tv series to relax at the end of the day, but this episode is way too serious and pretentious!

  • @veryinquisitivegirl It's a story, and the thing about stories is they don't have to make sense, they just have to tell a story. Yes, it's a sad story, but no one ever said this show was strictly comedy, did they? If everyone gets a happy ending there's no suspense in the other stories 'cause we all know how it's going to end.

Laughter and crying appear so similar at times that you have to experience both to be able to tell the difference.

  • Murray Gold's bombastic music can really grate at times, but when he nails it, he nails it. Such a beautiful motif in this episode.

  • I never understood why he didn't just get in the TARDIS and just appear on Earth 2 minutes later as he said he would... it is a time machine after all

  • One cannot on ones own time line ;)

  • Of course, it would be tricky and really ill-advised to travel back in time into one's own timeline (it has been done in season 1 when Rose met her father on the day her parents were married). What I'm saying is why can't he travel back in time just minutes after he left? He isn't travelling back into his own timeline but rather to a point AFTER his own timeline.

  • he couldnt bc he cant go back on his own timeline and he's part of that histry now.

  • @davidhyperion He explained that sort of thing in the Parting of Ways: he would have to cross his own timeline to do that.

  • @davidhyperion It has to deal with the TARDIS "locking into" a timeline when it appears. It means it can always go forward(Like with Amy Pond) but it can't go back(Like in this instance).

Or something like that...they tried to explain it in Bad Wolf(Or an episode close to that one)..

  • @davidhyperion I think it's because it's a Type 40 TARDIS...

  • Then it would get deleted for copyright infringment. This way it stays on longer.

  • oh. i guess it makes sense now.

  • Awesome episode...Make me cry so hard each time I watch it :'(

  • missed my favourite bit out of the episode :'(

  • The single most beautiful episode of Dr. Who *ever*. And here are some awesomely moving Rose episodes. But, this one... Oy.
