Yes, it was the officer who 'ran' the red light, with lights and sirens..... In my state, when you hear sirens you GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!!! Don't keep driving because if there is a wreck, it will be your fault for failure to yield. Emergency vehicles can run red lights in most states.

yes they can move through red lights. but only after stopping or slowing enough to make sure traffic is clear. emergency lights and sirens activated is saying yield to me. but its the job of the officer, fire fighter or emt driver to make sure.
