  • To me it seems as if to be rewritten moral patterns then anything. The condoning of an action/behavior in other words. I would say yes to a large degree Television is a huge problem then again thats only if your a truly shitty parent. The government is trying to teach children that they are better for them then the family unit. Especially under the Obama admin. HE basically told children to stop listening to their parents. Its a mixed array of things that are the issue.

  • So tell me: Where is all the slapping, biting, kicking, and screaming women at men? Or are you just prone to assuming violence is caused by men?

  • Hey, I was wondering to the person who made this video if I had permission to use it in my history project?

  • This isn't "read your paper or watch the news" territory, or "go back to your television" territory.

You want me to believe this? Pony up the science.

  • The fact is even with out back up this video makes sense and if you don't see it then you are still under the spell of entertainment. Yes it would be useful to have some kind of back up for those who need it. But the fact is the media today is full of murder, sex, drugs and murder.

Only 1 thing there which is good id the sex as it is a natural part of life and creates life. The rest destroy and if that is what people grow up with then........... (I dont think we need any science here ).

  • he is right so shut up and live you're lifes without tv

  • Nice video, I'm doing a similar project, this is good inspiration. :D

  • Of course it's all White boys...you don't want White boys being violent AT ALL...just pussies right?

  • More lies attacking freedom. Whats new.

  • Where is the maker of this video? All of these violent images make me want to become violent toward someone maybe he can volunteer! WHAT A CROCK!!!!!!

  • The problem is that people take too long to see the drastic affects of children watching violence. We should have put a stop to this when the first signs of the problems arose. I have always tried to avoid my son watching violence and the first time he started being interested in wrestling , he was only 6 and it broke my heart everytime I saw him watch this but I did warn him always about the content in the show.

  • I remember when I was about 10 years old the anti-gun assholes forced Disney to stop selling the plastic muskets for the pirate of the carribean ride, which I would alway get when I went to Disneyworld. I was so pissed off that I swore I would loathe the anti-gun lobby forever more, which I have :)

On a side note, the kid who burned down his house never even saw Beavis and Butthead, he just claimed that he did to shift the blame and the media immediately latched onto an easy scapegoat

  • This is so much like Hitler did with the youth of Germany. Television will turn our children into very effective killers if we do not cut the cable and get bact to choosing the content seen by the people in our homes. Ask yourself if this is what you want for the future?

  • @hypothalamus52 Oh really? Why censor everything and lock them down, why not just let them live this cruel life with some creativity And studies show that it barley increases aggression at all, and crime has DROPPED 50% this generation.

  • @hypothalamus52 That's ironic because you couldn't possibly be more wrong about the way the fascists depicted violence. In reality Nazi Germany had strong censorship against violent images, e.g. direct violent acts were rarely shown and they never allowed dead soldiers to be seen under any circumstance, and films made under the Nazis tended to be romantic comedies

They wanted to keep the people from thinking about the violence the gov't was committing and make them have "good" thoughts.

  • @BlueBerryWizard your bloody right

  • (part 3 of 3) Anyone who has the least bit of sanity in them knows the difference between games and real life. If you honestly cant tell the difference between killing pixels and killing flesh, you need to be in an asylum because youre a danger to yourself and everything around you. Even the people who go out and hurt others know theyre hurting living things.

  • @BlueBerryWizard The sane ones are not the ones we need to worry about. It's the ones that are already disturbed or mentally ill/depressed that this can affect. You just made his point for him.

  • @BlueBerryWizard It needs to be his choice. He's the one watching it.

  • @BlueBerryWizard And you have done studies have you ? Or is your comment based upon you feelings ?

  • @Maximustard

It's not just feelings; I have done some informal studies & can cite some proper studies too.

The main factor in the development of criminality is always the parents. Neglectful & abusive parenting leads to deviant behaviour. In particular parents who:

    • emotionally or physically abandon their children

    • discipline them erratically & harshly

    • and who do not know anything about or monitor their children in anyway

are the ones whose kids are most at risk of becoming criminals.

  • @BlueBerryWizard there are centers in the brain that DONT know the difference.

  • @brianisnotgodufool Perhaps because those are parts of the brains not meant to process this stuff seeing as other parts do that just fine and anyone without a defect (such as psychopaths and some people with brain damage have) in the brain can rely on the parts that do create empathy to guide them in moral decision making?

  • @BlueBerryWizard Do all people have sanity? I know that if I play fiction video games for 24 hours strait, all I can do is think about the game all day long. Im 18 and realize what digital media can really do to you and kids. Thats also another thing society is being brainwashed about... Stop worrying about what other people do to themselves.. If you told me to go into a box because I am doing drugs I might curse you out. Dont worry about me hurting myself. Not your job nor is it the governments

  • @burso772 Very extreme media can promote desensitization and passivity. However the tendency for people to start recording or gawking at some incidence where someone needs help is also reflection on people's cowardice, being coddled, and what they've been taught about not getting involved in things. When people lack the ability to differentiate reality and unreality it becomes apparent very apparent early. Any sane person who is raised with a sense of morality knows the difference.

  • (part 2 of 3) Furthermore, violence has been mainstream forever; it didn't start in the 1950s! It's been a part of human life since the first hominid species evolved and has remained so throughout history (and prehistory). Besides, we no longer have propaganda (except from institutions like the military) that urge us take part in violent activities nor do we have blood sports. Violence is in the media, but the media doesnt urge people to commit crimes, if anything it condemns and outlaws it.

  • (part 1 of 3) The first thing he says "Media violence has been the cause of numerous crimes among teenagers and adults across the United States", is so wrong. People don't commit crimes because they see it in the media. The media can give people ideas on how to go about committing crimes, but it provides no motive. Abuse, neglect, mental illness, desperation, suffering, pain, injustice, etc., these things are what drive people to be violent.

  • This is a lot of conjecture without sources.

  • @AtrocityStudios Read the paper or watch the news !!

  • @AtrocityStudios go back to your television.
