Hangar Rat 2 Perfect Flight Indoor Model Airplane

Might you recall the approximate weight of the model? Oh... I want my hangar rat to fly like that! Mine flies nicely, but with 1/8 rubber and 400 turns is limited by the 22 foot ceiling... and flies for only one minute. Great flights, very reliable, visually satisfying flights - but I would llike them to be a little longer. I will try smaller rubber and more turns.

Hi

The rules limit the length of the motor to 36 inches of rubber before tying the knot. This allows for a maximum length loop of around 17.5 inches. The width of the strip varies between 75thou and 1/8 depending on the weight of the model and the height of the ceiling.

For this particular model the rubber is Tan II (not sure what year) approx 85thou with probably around 1800 turns at launch.

Glad you liked the flight - Neville is pretty good at no touch flying at this site which can be pretty tricky.

Not sure what the audio is - I used the Youtube AudioSwap. I liked the first tune so kept it for the video.
