This is the voice of the great tenor Elie Khoury , who was the first Chanter of the Orthodox Church of Annunciation in Beirut, & founder of the first serious Arabic Choir (of the Orthodox Youth Movement). His early recording on a an LP of the Chants of the Holy Week & Pascha in the fifties remains a standard.
