Hello everyone.... Yes, I have been busy growing everything from seed this year. I started in February and have been transferring everything into bigger and bigger pots waiting for the soil temperature to get high enough to plant. It has been a cool spring in Napa and the overnight temps have been still dipping into the high 30's and low 40's. About two weeks ago, I transferred all my plants into my hoop house to start hardening them up before they go into the ground. First video on Saturday
Wow Kelly, the garden is kicking butt!! Holy tomatoes!. I am in PA and I am still waiting for my first tomatoe to turn red, still early here. I cant believe your plant grew 15 foot either. Well keep up the good work, I ereally enjoy seeing your updates as well as several others people including gardencalifornias below. Check mine out if you get a chance. Well enjoy you harvest!
@flyguy1725 Yeah, It's about 15 feet and still growing up!! I can't believe it. I actually harvested some more today and my wife is busy making some salsa and tomato sauce for spaghetti. It's going to be soooo good! Thanks for you comments... I'll try to update more often.
The quickest way I know to use up those little grape and cherry tomatoes is to either munch on them like grapes, blend them into soup or spaghetti sauce, or toss them in a food processor with a clove of garlic, some lime juice, cilantro, green onion, and maybe a chunk of pepper if you like, then whip it all together as salsa! Set a bowl of corn chips next to that, and it won't last long, lol.
@GardenCalifornia You are so right... I'm eating them like grapes right now. I love just eating them like that or with some cottage cheese... mmm. Also, my wire is making salsa right now.... should be great.
hey kelly, i missed you man. i thought you forgot about us.. nah its all good. your garden looks awesome, wow napa sure is good to the tomato plants. yeah everything looks wonderful especially that 15 footer, YIKES!!! lol... keep up the good work, i look forward to your next update.. happy harvesting
@wmkk808 Yeah, sorry I haven't posted in a while... I have just been hammered at work. By the time I can record, it's too dark. As a matter of fact, it was almost too dark when I recorded this one. Everything is really taking off right now especially the tomato's and the two tall ones are still towering up. I'm just going to let them go and see how tall they get... kinda of a science project. Talk to you soon.
very nice garden.
