I have heard of this theology before, but My understanding of Christs words in regards to a richman, is not about personal wealth, but many blessings from God. There was only one ppl back then who recieved these blessings. The richman is a spritual title given to the Jews of Judea from Christ. The diciples who had no wealth knew what Christ meant as the richman entering the kingdom of God and felt hopeless and asked who them will be saved? It is not about worldly wealth, but spiritual wealth.

Jesus said when you married you become one. Jesus said to a women you had 7 husbands and none of them were your husband. He didnt say 7 husbands become one its a very norrow door? Thats one reason you put Jesus first because its a very norrow door. Thats why he said go and sin no more!

Great sermon material. But when I was in Jerusalem 12 years ago I asked the tour guide to show us "an eye of the needle"...He had lived in Jerusalem all of his life and had no idea what I was talking about. I think Jesus actually meant what he said. Thanks

I would not expect there to be one in Jerusalem. Also, this comes to us by way of multiple translations so it would not be "referred" to in the same manner once you slip thru 2-3 languages. Understanding that Jesus apparently spoke Aramaic, not Hebrew, and a few other issues with traditional teachings show us why people know so little about actual Biblical events and references.

Sorry, but this is bad theology.  Firstly, there was never a gate like that, which is proven. And it is physically IMPOSSIBLE for camels to crawl. So, this is disproven beyond any doubt. Jesus meant what he said, it is hard to be God- Focused if we are striving for the temporal things of this world. Peace.

Exactly, and scripture doesn't say eye of THE needle, it says: Eye of A needle. Anyway, look at the Disciples response! When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, Then who can be saved? And looking at them Jesus said to them, With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. _ People make a VERSE a stumbling block and don't bother to read the preceding and following verses to understand it! OH it must be a Gate that camels have to crawl through!

Yes, error is often taught as truth. In an effort to get around proofs and discussions, the early church developed the concept of faith, leading to blind faith in the ideas of man, meanwhile the Bible does not teach this. It teaches the opposite. Know the truth and the truth will set you free. Jesus put His faith in no man, because it was always in the heart of man to do evil. Blind leading the blind.

What an amazing imagination you have. According to your interpretation Heaven is blocked to a segment of society. What an amazing doctrinal stance. Sounds like Islam or one the hateful denominational stances. Don't you see that "giving away your wealth" to get in to Heaven was a corrupt way that the Church built wealth (and some continue).
