I don't particularly like badniks, but what you did was pretty good.

I also might say that if you've ever played Mario and Sonic at the olympic games, even the announcers called him Dr. Eggman, and Robotnik is purely the english-speaking country continuity. He has always been Eggman in the japanise vewrsions.

the fact is, his name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik but Sonic calles him Eggman to piss him off because all the good doctor's inventions are called Egg-something... (like his spacestation Death-Egg in Sonic 2 and 3)

maybe, but in later games eggman was adopted as his actual name; he even called HIMSELF eggman. this only happened in the american versions, though. apparently everyone thought american players would like eggman better. just like we wouldnt like the kickass games that were release in japan and europe for the dreamcast... jerks
