  • terry bogard wild wolf is my favourite character of all time (liked this video)

  • That match was awesome. And I love that song.

  • I love the original voice LOL

cannot compared with the English dub whatsoever.

    Great play man!

  • noobs

  • "Shall we?"

    "Stand up!"

I love how Wild Wolf Terry throws some "Engrish" into his voice track in the Japanese voice track of KOF Maximum Impact 2/2006. :)

    Bryon

  • Hey man cun you tell me who is the band ore song in thise video please !!!

  • Waiting by Not Forgotten

  • This is kyos stage from kof 95 right guys?

  • I'm watchin' this match, and this LOOKS...NOTICE I SAID LOOKS...funner then SF IV.

  • its is, its a much better game

  • what the name Terry's move where he shoots that projectile threw the floor.

  • The regular special move or his Desperation Move?

The regular traveling fireball is Power Wave. The Desperation Move is Power Geyser.

  • I like the fight BTW. The music from SF vs. Raw (06?) actually fits, and makes the fight between the two true SNK heroes look a lot better.

  • I'm much more of an SNK fan. Mostly because SNK seems to cater more to my interests since Capcom likes release a bunch of crappy games for ten years before finally making SFIV. You know how many KOFs came out between 93 and 09? And just about all of those KOFs are better than SFIV. And Garou still beats 3S. You're free to disagree, but only if you've actually PLAYED all those KOFs.

  • I understand your point, but you have to look at history. SNK only made their first fighting game to compete with Street Fighter. Capcom and SNK were rivals. So to be clearer, without Street Fighter, there would be no King Of Fighters, this video of a good fight here wouldn't exist, and I wouldn't be talking to you now. Just a heads up.

  • Having just rocked with Wild Wolf on my second time playing the game (KoF 2006), I like it. a lot.

I haven't played all the kof's, nor all of the SF series, so I'm not expert, but I like 'em for different reasons and different enough play styles.

I don't make much of a comparison between the two.

  • I understand you.

  • Fatal Fury and Art Of Figthing were the games made to compete with SFII (especifically, because the first was never that sucessefull), whereas "KOF" started as a dream match between the FF cast and Ryo in the FF Special.

And every game done pretty much owns a bit to Karate Champ, the first sucessfull figthing franchise.

  • Actually "Yie Ar Kung Fu" was a hit before Karate Champ, with different fighters named after their styles/weapons.

  • Nice one there, i didn`t knew about that one.

But i think Champ was the first with the well known Karate duo, right?

  • Yeah, technically it came out in 1984, and Yie Ar, in '85. Yie Ar was more popular at first because it was a true "tournament" style with different fighters challenging one fighter, ending with a "boss" character "The Blues". That served as the foundation for all the other competition/story line fighting games of SF and FF/AoF/KOF

  • @MisterWhat Also, Karate Champ caught on, passing Yie Ar on one big advantage over Yie Ar. In Karate Champ, it was the first martial arts game that allowed two players to go up against each other. Player skill vs Player skill. Much different and more challenging than learning predictable computer programmed responses. ;)

  • Did Yie Ar, also had the bonus stages that both SF and AOF ended up using too? I remember playing "Champ" and doing a bonus stage where you had to hit a Bull as many times as you could :p

  • Im definitely a converted neogeo fan, the pure quality is unmatched.

  • SNK definitely had the best fighters, but with games costing 250 bucks a pop for there home system, of course streetfighter was more popular. But the home snk experience was exactly like the full arcade. Not a port like from sega and all. There were snk ports but things were left out of them. They both are excellent franchises, too bad we wont see another capcom vs snk.

  • Hrm, let's try this: You both started off sensible and then leapt headlong into fucktard ranting. As you both seemed intelligent at the start, I'll try this: Simply agree to disagree. You're cluttering up the comments section and your argument is nothing more than "I hate the things you like."

As regards the important thing here, the video is great: I far prefer Terry to Ryu (didn't even know about the latter until I got further into the fandom), and it's cool to see him win here. Well played.

  • Did you mean "RyO" instead of "RyU"?

  • Yes. Yes I did.

  • increíble!

  • keep up the good work dude!!!

  • I think:Verry good!!

  • ryo is the coolest

  • no terry is

  • Ryo is the coolest.

  • Nah. He's a wannabe Ryu that looks like Ken

  • Ryo and the AOF franchise was produced by the same creators of SF at Capcom.

And in reality Ryu and Ken arent "originals" either. The classic friendly/rival duo, between a bum and a rich guy existed in video games, before they did.

  • I don't think those guys designed the characters though. Either way, it was stupid of them to make a Ryu wannabe for a different franchise. That's why the ripoff ain't as popular as the other SNK heroes.

  • They designed and prepared both franchises. Its fact.

now, obviously in the devolopment stages, they didnt sat down and drew then, thats what artists are for. But the whole concept is the same.

Therefore, there is no rippof here, they can use what they want and care. Neither a huge originality in SF either. Just popularity.

As far as Ryo being unpopular...a 2005 fan poll by Playmore, had him at 5th most popular character. Not shabby at all.

  • I really don't think they were created by the same people, if they were, then they were fools to recycle an idea like that. Everybody's gonna see it as a ripoff. Think of something else.

  • Look, its your opinion, but you dont "think" about it. The credits of both games, have the same creators. Like it or not.

From that point on, they can use the ideia everytime they want. But if i use your logic, then SF is a ripoff, because under the same creators, another figthing game was made before with another duo as main characters.

  • Those 2 people are listed under Planner & director. Others are listed under character design.

  • Wich means the first two are the games creators. Who sits down and draws what *they* want is someone else.

  • But they could have just simply approved the designs. Not inspired or directed the designers to do so. & I doubt this other game had a character who's name even sounded like Ryu while also looking like Ken. Unless the guys who left Capcom to make AOF can take credit for actually making Ryu, ripoff Suckassaki is just a ripoff. A poor attempt @cashing in on Ryu/Ken

  • Well, no, they are considered the creative mind behind the games as well. I dont recall the actual names of the other game that came before SF, but they bear too much a resemblance. Not only *that*, the game those two made also before SF had a figthing duo as well. There are no such thing as coincidence here, so you calling someone "suckassaki" and "ripoff" whithout going to terms to call the same for Ryu, screams of bias.

  • Not when you think about it. Ryu wasn't made to cash in on the popularity of whatever game you are talking about. ripoff & AOF as a whole was clearly made to cash in on SF's popularity

  • So was Fatal Fury. Thats not the defination of rip off. A rip off is a steal. And you cant call it a steal when the same creators are involved.

On the same note, while Ryu is certainly the most popular character among the "original" set of figthers, he wouldnt exist without the previous game attempts.

  • FFury didn't have heroes that were just like Ken & Ryu though. They were going for originality when they made FF. They were NOT going for originality when they made AOF/ripoff suckassaki. He's a ripoff & until someone can show me that those guys created both characters, not just that they worked on both games, that's what he'll always be.

  • And thats exactly where your double standart and raving bias is.

AOF is a rip off to cash in the sucess of another game, by the same creators, but SF is not a rip off to cash in the sucess of previous figthing games by the same creators, and not *only*?

You must think SF invented the wheel to come off with such a distorcial view. Wich goes along with your last line. Why read and use common sense when negating info is just more fun :)

    We are done, i think.

  • & this is where your bull falls apart. These games that preceeded SF are unheard of. So how can SF be cashing in on them? How do you cash in on something that wasn't super profitable to begin with. If you were anywhere near right, AOF & other games would have been trying to cash in on these preSF games as well. They weren't, because these PreSF games didn't honestly amount to much....just like your proripoff bull. We ARE done.

  • I think your stupidity and bias is reaching new heights.

If it werent for those "uneheard games" (unheard for YOU, that is, not the gaming public at the time) there wouldnt be a SF in the first place.

So we are done as i said so. Now, back to school.

  • Now you resort to name calling. It figures. You're completely incompetent @this debate thing. I think you're a fool who seems to think he can predict alternate futures. How do you know what would & wouldn't happen? That's what I thought. You don't. SF = Megapopular These other games = not so much. SF wasn't cashing in on them unless Dark Knight somehow cashed in on Supes Returns. Do these guys from the unheard of game have anything in common w/Ryu/Ken other than Karate uniforms?

  • Please, son. Your reasoning is blind and full of bias, what would i call it? Marvelous?

The previous game made by the same team, before SF, had everything in common. As much as Ryu and Ken have with Ryo and Robert. Same concept. Same rivality. Same urban theme. Same kind of boss. And it was brough up by watching earlier figthing games. They didnt invented the weel, they shaped it to popularity with some inovations.

Rip off is theft. Go to the dictionary and learn how to use proper terms.

  • Seriously, both of you shut the hell up. You're acting like 4 year olds. Get over it. No one cares.

  • If someone doesnt know what the hell he is talking about, i am happy to share some knowlege, if still, the person choses to discard what they see, i call it a day.

I think you arrived up late to act like big daddy here.

  • He can say what ever he wants. You ain't his daddy. This is honestly getting tiresome. You say these unheard of guys have as much in common w/Ken/Ryu as ripoff/Robert do? These unheard of guys had fireballs, dragon punches, gi w/ripped sleeves & huricane kicks?

  • Yeah? The same gaming creators wer alreday doing figthing games before SF, you know. If you dont, research on it. You think by any chance that SF invented fireballs and the rest? Even before the growing boom of figthing games, franchises such as Dragonball wer doing that shit a decade before.

Since you got into the argument, i would like you to explain me what a "ripoff" is. Because the two of you seem ignorant about it.

How it is a "rippof", when both games wer made by the same creators?

  • As soon as you answer the question I asked you, good buddy. These unheard of guys had fireballs, dragon punches, gi w/ripped sleeves & huricane kicks? Also, did they have names that were 1 letter off from being "Ryu" & did they look like Ken? As for the rest of you. I'm sorry for this, but I'm sure we won't make the comments section run out of space. I'll try to keep it civil as long as he does the same.

  • *reads post above*

I already did. SF didnt invented karate figthers, neither fireballs, neither a rival duo as the main characters. So be civil and answer my questions instead. If you dont want to or cant, just drop it.

  • You answered w/a question mark. Not sure what that meant. I know SF didn't invent fireballs. They were however 1 of the 1st fighting games to use them IIRC. What's the name of this game & who are the main characters?

  • Waitng by Not Forgotten! that was on SD vs Raw 2006
