High on Fire is killer. The sound is a heavy mix of Sabbath, Motorhead, and early thrash (i.e. Slayer/Venom). This is my favorite Priest song of all time, and the fact that they picked this one to cover only says Pike and the crew know what's up even more to me. Raw gritty pounding fucking metal. Gotta love it.

GOD! You guy's are so ignorant, it's ridiculous. This is a terrible recording, plain and simple. To judge a band, and base an opinion merely upon one awful recording is one of the stupidest things i've heard of. I saw these guys live without ever hearing of them, and they were amazing. So much force and emotion in a simple 3-piece band. Built upon the foundation of another trio - SLEEP. The continuation/transition of style and sound is remarkable.

This isn't Stoner Metal. You're getting confused with Sleep. They (obviously, imo..) deliberately try to break away from that "tag". Stoner Metal is a very slow-tempo'd mix of heaviness and sheer rhythm, fuzzed out to the max.

To make the connection of Stoner metal to this.. aggressive, fast, heavy style... is just plain wrong.
