I've never seen this version before, I've always watched reruns of the 1960's version with my parents and unfortunately I find this to be nowhere near as amazing and magical as the original. It feels more like one of those cheesy made for TV ABCFamily movies.

Jeez ! Guys stop calling it lame ! Those are some remakes of ,, The Addams family '' from 1961 ! Is not supposed to be originally , it is supposed to be in better qualities so that the small kids of the new generations can see what we saw at our time . But they can't give the old episodes because they wouldn't like the old ,, Black and White '' vision . I used to grow with ,, The new Addams family '' and I will always love those remakes as much as I will love the originals . Stop calling it lame

@dana21211 The original Addams Family was way before my time as well, but that didn't (and doesn't) prevent me from enjoying it. The New Addams Family doesn't catch the same "gothic" feel, that the original show has, and the humour is way more childish; to cater to a younger audience. But I see this new show as a lovely tribute to the original show. The director and actors are very loyal to the 64' version, after all.

Carolyn was the sweet, kind Morticia someone u would want 2 talk 2 during a hard time. And really formed the bases of Morticia.

Oh for people that were wondering why the people didn't use the original theme here r three posiblities:

1. Maybe they couldn't use it because of copyright issues.

2. Because they didn't like it.(highly imposible) And 3. Maybe they wanted a more modern feel to it.
