24th January 1975. The midst of some very turbulent and uncertain times in Germany and beyond. Stammheim, the forerunner to Guantanamo Bay, was being built. Hans-Dietrich Genscher, the 70's equivalent of Nick Clegg, was making his pact with those very decent chaps from the CSU. And despite it all, one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever to have been captured, live and improvised, emerged. An unforgettable moment in time.
