The second shot is usually necessary for a big fish like that. And for all those people who are against it: Spearfishing is the most ecologically sustainable form of fishing. You can be selective unlike rod fishing. There are people who do it with scuba gear and night and don't confuse these people with real spearmen. Using scuba and diving at night is against the law anyway. Great fish by the way congrats.

You cannot really control the exact point as to where you shooting the fish... sometimes you may aim right at the brain but at the last sec the fish will turn due to the noise from snap of the shaft. Head shots are ideal but not always consistent...

i think spear fishing would be fun but i dont like it, for small fish its ok but when you spear a marlin through the back and then let it pull for hours trying to survive with extreme pain and then shooting it teice in bad spots for it to die instead of getting the good shot right away

spearfishing os ok if you shoot it in the head so it dies right away otherwise is extremly cruel and to me its torture
