  • As one of the people, a regular citizen of Adams County, Cumberland Township, who was honored to be asked to participate in this film, I have as have many others, been working since day one to deal with the preponderance of minimum wage jobs here that make the lure of Casinos and other fly by night big box boom and bust enterprises so appealing. To Woodbine and Kitchsburgh below.... -- the last time, folks did go back home to lick bad wounds too soon...NOT this time. :) Recession be damned! :)

  • it's a national issue because local opposition can't gain any local traction to compete with the pro side. Like Kitschburgh said below, you wouldn't want to work here. And that's because now, without a casino (or any other non-tourism industry) there is nowhere to work. The same people behind this No Casino movement are behind any movement against ANY industry that tries to move in. Don't buy the hype.

  • The good news for the anti-casino crowd is, given Mason-Dixon's competition for its license, I don't see a casino in Gettysburg's future. The bad news is I don't see any jobs in Gettysburg's future either.

It's a great place to visit, but wouldn't want to look for work there.
