  • who's the compositor?

  • @marcorutili geoges delerue,

  • THE END OF THE WORLD SHOULD END NOW......DID GOD PUT U ON THIS PLANET TO KILL EACH OTHER???? NO!!!!!! HE PUT U ON THIS PLANET FOR A REASON....NO WARS, NO MURDER, NO ANGER!!!!! FRIENDSHIP, LOVE, AND HAPPINESS...WARS SHOULD NOT EVEN HAPPEN BUT...... IT HAS AND WILL AGAIN.....WORLD WAR 3??? WE DON'T KNOW BUT THEIR WILL BE ANOTHER 500,000,000 DYING TO SAVE OTHERS,MOTHERS,FATHERS,CHILDREN,BABYS!!! AND THEIR LOVED ONES! THEY RISK THEIR LIVES FOR ME AND EVERYONE ELSE, DO OTHERS DO THE SAME, NOPE!!!!!

  • War, people went to war to save others lives and their country and all you nasty people out there are killing each other for example, not long ago a teenage girl only 13 was walking to her mates house, then a woman cam and stabbed her and it was a random kill, she didnt even know her. Is that fair??? No!!!! The people that went to war,MOST WERE KILLED TO SAVE EVERYONE AND ON NEWS THERES PEOPLE BEEN MURDERED, I THINK ITS UNFAIR AND SICK!! I WOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE AN END TO THIS HORRIBLE WORLD

  • Platoon was the closest movie that depicted my experience in The Nam. Viewing these Videos awakens a lot of dormant memories. Personal memories I have learned to Love, Respect, and Fear

    Google "Pineapple Sam"

  • War...it turns the nicest of people into pure blood thirsty killers, the violent side of which is designated 'Human' comes out...all species fight for dominance but the Human Race evolved that fighting into pure hell...

  • ITS MORE THAN REAL; RI HELL TRICKY DICK

  • SERVING NAM 68-69

  • served with some good British and Australian Advisors in Nam 67-72..

  • VIETCONGS IS HERO !

  • ....I am wondering who and why someone disliked this...

  • God bless his soul , my friend.

    Joseph

    Athens.

  • @Super2878 sorry to hear

  • I have a feeling humanity will be history before our violent little species evolves out of our constant need for war. War is, after all the ultimate compitation. It demands the ultimate wager (your life), and delivers the ultimate prize (your survival). Anyone who has been in contact, and has made horror their friend is forever changed. For some its leaves them crippled, and for others it opens your eyes to what is truely important in life....

  • music that brings you to your knees, so moving

  • what is war?

war is rich ppl, which know each other, they fight each other, but they dont kill each other, and pur ppl, which dont know each other, they kill each other, and they die for the rich ppl ... it is sad but unfortunatly true :(

  • @bassem90 well said

  • War is a strange thing. You will see the absolute worst in humanity, yet you will see the most selfless and bravest acts a human can do in war.

  • @oeyesea Yeah, its unfortunate because the people on each side are generally all alright people and war just turns them into monsters. The sickness of politics allows this to happen its disgusting, then afterwards once the bodys have piled up the politicians turn round and shrug their shoulders with their hollow apologies.

  • @Smith_Hary Pay attention please Everyone who watched that movie understood about two war's lessons. There's a war against a kind of enemy; First enemy is people from other country and Second one when the enemy is ourselves. Think about it. It's happenning all world long. Thanks a lot my old friends.

  • sry let me correct myself, reply goes to tr763

  • MOVIE MAD do u have a heart, me thinks your the sad ass fooker...........

  • @1PARALoNe care to repeat that?

    zeiten!

  • me gustaria estar en una zona de africa que este en guerra para ver un poco y ademas pongo en practica mis conocimientos de enfermeria

  • Esse filme clássico aqui no Brasil.

  • This film despite being a violent warfilm actually holds very deeply in my heart. I have no link with the Vietnam war (as I'm British) but it was the very first adult film I went to see with my Dad in 1987..I think it was. Im now in my late 30's and lost my Dad last year to Cancer. A distant relative of my Mum lived in the US and was in the US Coast guard - he served in Vietnam! But this music actually brings tears to my eyes. I miss you Dad, xxxx

  • @MovieMad007 you will hug him again one day, just not on this planet! somewhere angelic, magical, free from war, free from blood being spilt over oil etc etc.

  • @McAnus95

yes, this movie is from 1986, apocalypse now was released in 1979.

  • @daltaBIYOTCH Neither, The Deer Hunter came before both.

  • @Shack83 I think The Green Berets came before Deer Hunter too... Or at least thats what I've heard.

  • I watched this film for the first time last night, it moved me. The death of Elias is beautiful and tragic at the same time. A glorious piece of cinema.

  • A writer, how brilliant he may be,is bound to his loss. But the beast, which heart is filled with this music, has the courage to look beyond his own sex and see the white thing coming along-it is the goal towards all music is floating-no personification of a mythical figure at all.It is the

microcosmos we have to fear. Can a writer be ever free from his witchcraft?

Can a beast be ever free from his mask? But we all wear masks and blame the witchcraft.I still like the white thing coming along.

  • we should have won this war

  • @TheSkulletproof there shouldn't have been one in the first place

  • A soldier died in the field of battle and came up to the gates of heaven, where he met God. He said to God," Lord, I know I did many things i ain't proud of, and many more that you won't approve of, so if you send me to hell, I won't argue." God stood there for a moment, and then turned to the gatekeeper of heaven. "Let him in", he said.? The gatekeeper, confused, asked why. God looked down at the soldier and said," This man just came from hell."

  • @vietnamguy1223 The ones going to hell are the old fat fucks who declared war! R.I.P everyone who died :'(

  • @vietnamguy1223 shit that was perfect

  • @vietnamguy1223

stfu you damn infidel. hell is much more worse than vietnam. you dont know anything. maybe vietnam was "hell on earth" but much more for the vietnamese people. Americans cry about one dead soldier but laugh at thousands of dead civilists.

  • @pimpmaster007 War is a terible thing. Every Nation crys for one dead soldier.

BUt they also see the casualties of the other side. The USA see the Vietnam cassualties in its own way. You call him an infidel, Vietnan wasn' moree worse than hell? Every War is hell. My father as in the Gulfwar in the 90s.

He is still shoecked over 10 years later but he dosent show it.

Pleas keep your mouth shut and listen to this beautifull-sad theme song.

  • one of 2 or 3 movies where i had to cry...

  • Adagio for Strings. Written in 1936. Contrary to popular belief, it pre-dates Platoon by nearly 60 years.

Out here, assholes, you keep your shit wired tight at all times! And that goes for you, shit-for-brains. You don't sleep on no fuckin' ambush! And the next sum'bitch I catch coppin Z's in the bush, I'm personally gonna take an interest in seein' him suffer. I shit you not. Doc, tag him and bag him!

  • AMERICA FUCK YEAH COMING TO SAVE THE MOTHER FUCKING DAY YEAH!

  • this song is like for those who were killed in the war. RIP );

  • play this to call of duty black ops it makes it more fun (:

  • 2646 still missing from the Vietnam war. Many were tortured to death! YES this is our nations most terrible war! Our Nation's Government has much too answer for! Their Dishonor runs Deep! How long will you believe their lies?

  • @reconco27

All wars are terrible, people were killed and tortured at every single one of them.

  • @reconco27 i'm not an american, but i'm verry srry for you're loss, but this is what happens when putting you're nose in an other man's business

  • I have meet many from this war and I myself have fought in three others. I have seen so many die! For what? Certainly not for freedom, because when we left we did'nt leave freedom, we only left dead. And we left ourselves there as well or at least a piece. Because it will never leave those that fought there. For me it was'nt my war, but I fought my own. But some might argue its case for our worst war, but I have seen its scars and know its pain! NEVER FORGET THOSE THAT WERE LEFT BEHIND!

  • @reconco27 very well spoken and from heart! just as the picture says in the video (the first casualty of war is innocence) how you felt about that war is how i feel about todays wars! never question the bravery or todays soldiers i question the judgement of our leaders! i watch friends and family come home with no legs or in boxes all of them to young and what are they fighting for ? so a corporation can have political influence to increase its monthly profit margin? shame on our leaders!

  • mi name is elias ...

  • America need to find its roots, though i am well aware that their current status was forced upon them by having to save Europe and act as a counter-weight to Soviet. But Soviet is gone.

  • My patriotism, for I am patriot, doesn´t include sending my loved ones half across the globe to kill and be killed. For truly, half across the globe is where Americans fight these days. These Americans thinking this way are often considering themsleves and are considered by others to be conservatists, when in reality, only a hundred years ago, America was even more demilitarized and unwilling to do military adventures than Sweden is now.

  • "As a parent, I am encouraging my adolescent son to read this book so that he will understand what others have done and what he may one day be called upon to do for his country." Now, this sounds like some Victorian parent 150 years ago. She/he almost sounds eager to send the son out to war. Is it vanity, is it indoctrination, is it 'patriotism'?. It´s obviously a republican, and usually I agree with republicans - but this is sick.

  • The other day I was looking for "Men At War" on Amazon, and found it along with a top-stared review by a customer. She or he was a teacher, and thought the book had accomplished it´s goal (Hemingway wanted it to give a true picture of war). How she/he knows that I don´t know, maybe she/he has done service, but I doubt it, given what she/he wrote next:

  • every man that went to this war is a total hero wether they died or lived through it.. I dont care they all deserve to be listed as heros and to be looked up to. I know they feel the loss at killing and seeing so much death but I really do honor them for the pain they went through.. Love you guys and honor you forever including you dad thank you so much for your sacrifice....

  • the one person who dislikes this is obviously a commie

  • Similiar to Adagio for strings

  • @VandettaCEAL ermm maybe cause it is

  • best film i ever seen.......

  • @henryfan93a yes its the main melody from dj tiesto

  • The first real movie about the war in Vietnam is Platoon...

  • Is it the basic melody to Dj Tiesto's "Adagio for Strings"??

  • @Henryfan93a Sure is

  • war is terrible but it is a necessary sacrifices, what a dick of a thing to say, you dont see any of the people that are starting the wars getin their asses shot to peaces .

  • war is terrible but it is a necessary sacrifices

  • Those for which there is nothing they would take up arms to defend deserve neither liberty, nor life. And they will both merely exist as slaves, and die.

  • but stil thear is so mots of it...

  • war is just not worth it too much human suffering

  • @hellbringer123456789 you don't say!
