Buddy Holly has a version as well. This has a Holly flare to it as well, but then Buddy sang quite a few Bo Diddley influenced tunes.

I wish someone would post Bo's version. This version sounds like it has a lot going on. I can't pick out what's making that wall of sound beneath the lead guitar. I hear the obvious percussion, and can hear the bass and a piano tinkling, but what is the backbone of the recording? Sounds like maybe an organ? Whatever it is, this recording sounds unique, and very progressive for 1956. I would have loved to see it played live.
