  • the latest big movie, that is the most expensive in the country's movie history, and it was produced by local studios and directed bya chinese. And guess what? The hero is white, comes to China to save Chinese people, has sex with a chinese woman

what kind of message do you think this is sending to people here?

  • Errr. Why do ppl think the gov can even controls movies. The person who said that do u even noe about china that much? It's funny coz this guy have had directed several very famous movies before. He did it because he wanted to. N the matter of fact that he is a standard Chinese. I don't think the greedy gov would gives money to this person for making films. Seriously. If u know the communists very well.

  • @keiya1955 Yeah and Japan was the most peaceful country during WW2? Not. China has a shit government that's killing their own people, but that doesn't excuse Japan killing thousands of Chinese in Nanking during WW2. This is their first movie about this incident and look how many Pearl Harbor movies the US made. Why don't you go whine and call the US anti-Japanese too idiot. You remind me of those dumb fucks that deny the Holocaust.

  • It made the Communist Party of China invested enormous sums of anti-Japan movie. Its purpose is to avoid criticism of the Chinese people and the world, countries, Communist Party of China of antics all movies created intentionally to liven up the anti-Japanese movement. This would say classic and typical propaganda tactics of the Communist Party.

  • At that time China had been suffering fr internal turmoil after Qing dynasty ended, it couldn't defense from any invasions. America was used by the Chinese govt. to fight Japs invasion, but Chinese don't give a shit to America they know these white big nose creatures('gwailo' they called) is also the invader before the Japs.

However, as the producer said this film is targeting to western market, the way it was filmed is no different to typical American movies to make them feel good
