iPhone 4 iMovie App Review - Is It Worth $4.99?

I just downloaded this app and so far I am enjoying it. Easy to use/save/post videos. Like others have said it's great when you are not near your computer and want to create a movie on the fly. Or for those like me who don't own a Mac and don't like Windows movie creator, you will find this app to your liking.

This App is good for a quick edit but overall lacks a whole lot of basic features. Themes, transitions and fonts are slim to none, simple effects like reverse play are MIA. Like the reviewers said your vids will look like a thousand of others. Unless you have no other way to edit videos this App is not worth it.

goal is to be able to import files from my computer (mac) to my IMovie App so i can edit on the fly.... the problem is i can only edit movies that i have recorded FROM MY PHONE. I can see videos in itunes, but the IMovie app wont access them? Do you know of any ways around that? or other software? i tried dragging files to phone with cyber duck yet doesnt even show up.

also Is there an Itypefastr app for the 4.0 update, or anything i could use similar to have a better keyboard layout?

I Agree, use your pc with something like pro-show gold , this edit program is good only if you need to put something together with your phone, on the fly !

I'm getting the iPhone 4 as soon as it comes out here in Canada (God knows when that will be) and Im getting this app as soon as I can. I have very little experience editing video so this app seems perfect for me. All I really want to do is put clips together with music just for fun. This is a gateway app to get people to buy a Mac and do real video editing. I think you've missed the point of why Apple did this. Look for updates in the near future.

I think it's a nice app. I mean when I'm on vacation I could send random things out to friends and edit them on the fly.

5$ really isn't that bad, I've paid much more for apps I never use lol. I'm shure Apple or people will make more themes and such for the app down the line.
