Hmm...I know this is a short video but I expected more from Halloween time in Salem, MA. Some guy on an acoustic guitar playing a boring song in a major key? Definitely does NOT set the mood. lol

You can blame mostly the city for that.

We used to have the festivities up 'til midnight, while major bands playing on the Commons.

But it figures that just when I become old enough to stay out longer, they trade in the awesomeness for a few cheap carnival rides, trash, and boomboxes playing at every corner.

But despite this, things usually spicen up by nightfall.

Anyway, yeah, that's strange. I expected Halloween in Salem to be an enormous festival with non stop Halloween-related aesthetics. Huge (gory) haunted houses, non-stop parades, etc. etc... I live in the rocky mountains but am planning on taking a trip to the east coast...spending Halloween in Salem. Is it worth it or what?

It's worth it.

There are parades, haunted houses (not extremely huge but good enough), etc. etc. Best party ever!

Although if you want really, really good haunted houses, they're all up in New Hampshire or Western Massachusetts.

Aw ! I went to Salem October 8th this year.

One of the best trips of my life ! (:

We stayed in the Hawthorne Hotel, one of the

bed and breakfast rooms.

But yeah, I definitly want to be going

back next October ! :)
