I have tried them both but prefered skiing over snowboarding because it was easier on the knees, yes its probably contradicts everyone else opinion but the time in the lift with a twisted knee really spoiled the fun after a long day. As for skiing you basically only put pressure on you knees when falling.
As for the ride i don't like the blind angle with the snowboard but loved the powder. skiing like the slope but powder is sometimes very demanding.

Snowboarders drive me crazy. I admit that there are a select few which are ok.
Last year I was skiing in Austria, and there was a row of snowboarders sat down, taking up LITERALLY half of the piste. Of course, I skiied straight into one, and wiped out epically.
The next day, I saw the same group doing the same thing, So I got into a racing tuck, picked up as much speed as i could, and did a HUGE parallel stop into them. I covered them in snow :D They tryed to chase me but couldn't keep up ^^
Snowboarders act like they own the mountain they diliberately push off the powder and make every SKI trail icy. Skiers are the "glorious good guys". Snowboarders are the "dark lords".
I hate snowboarding it's for retards when I go to the SKI resort I am excited but I get less excited when I remember the dumb snowboarders on the SKI trails and pushing people off the SKI lifts and causing chaos in the SKI lodges. Fuck snowboarding. I wish it had never been invented.

I have absolutely no problem with experienced skiers most of them are cool pple, and better yet they never become a problem for really anyone. How ever the nubs that do HUGE S's thrugh the mountain at 3 mph get on my nervs you dutn want to pass them to fast or they might get scared, fall and possible hit you. but if you goto slow you never get around em. I also have to say nub snowboarders are a pain too, stopping on jumps and just mainly stopping at blind points on the hill

i'm a boarder, and i do agree that LOTS of snowboarders are posers and try to be cool, but they hit a 5 foot jump and land on their back and cry. but if you go to the mountain every day out of the season, you get to know who the REAL rippers are. skiiers tend to be more little kids and old people, but i don't deny at ALL that there are some that totally kill it, all my friends ski and they are crazy. i say just whatever you like, do it, and i just happen to like snowboarding.

I don't think it matters as long as your out there. Its all cool, i snowboard, i have a lot of skier friends. I've tried skiing, its definitely alot easier as far as freestyle stuff goes. But fighting about it is stupid, just people on both sides need to stop being dicks.

What to bet on that? You can't just get off the lift and go. You have to stand in everyones way for 15 m. You can't do icy moguls, You can't do helicopters, spread eagles you can't skate or put on climbing skins or then mountain ski. Snowboarders drive me crazy. I admit that there are a select few which are ok.
Last year I was skiing in Austria, and there was a row of snowboarders sat down, taking up LITERALLY half of the piste. Of course, I skiied straight into one, and wiped out epically.
The next day, I saw the same group doing the same thing, So I got into a racing tuck, picked up as much speed as i could, and did a HUGE parallel stop into them. I covered them in snow :D They tryed to chase me but couldn't keep up ^^

I have absolutely no problem with experienced skiers most of them are cool pple, and better yet they never become a problem for really anyone. How ever the nubs that do HUGE S's thrugh the mountain at 3 mph get on my nervs you dutn want to pass them to fast or they might get scared, fall and possible hit you. but if you goto slow you never get around em. I also have to say nub snowboarders are a pain too, stopping on jumps and just mainly stopping at blind points on the hill
