Then you just eat them, or you can leave them to soak in milk for a few hours, then eat the mushroom and drink the milk, it tastes very nice. Although the potency of the active compounds varies from each specimen and each region, you can obtain a strong trip on about 25g of dried mushroom caps.

amanita species carry attendant liver toxins- use sparingly if at all. 'panther cap,' a close relative, is stronger than fly agaric. you take less of it. always a better choice.
there's a rare mushroom called "laughing gym" - gymnopilus spectabilis - that is supposed to be joyful. have you heard of it? i have been interested it myself.

laughing gyms are like a grey and blue when they are dried. they contain psilocibin, different than anamita muscaria. these laughing gyms aren't that potent, they'rre not as visual as other strains like cubensis or especially mexicana

This mushroom is also known by the name Fly Agaric. Back in the day ( I dont know when) it was cut up and added to milk and sugar in a dish, the sweet milk would attract the fly and the Fly Agaric would render it fucked : )
Also people used to ingest this mushroom by chopping it up and adding it to a hot bath and would be ingested through the skin to avoid poisoning.

I think it's more likely that psilocybin mushrooms are the soma of the rigveda than amanita muscaria. Amanitas have always been reported to be not as fantastic and dream-inducing as the psilocybin mushrooms. To top that all while there has been descriptions of soma being drank in the urine.....as equally as interesting is that psilocybin mushrooms grow on cow dung....which maybe why cows became sacred to begin with.
