  • To JMU Madison Singers looking at the video-Don't let the notation that you see freak you out...they are all printed in the specific voice's clef.

    I'm afraid it is ;-)

    Pls note that all voices except basses are in old C-clef notation.

    For example, the first note of the soprano is an A, even though it looks like a C (if it had been in modern G-clef notation).

    Oh oui ! Vraiment désolée ! Tout à fait raison de faire cette remarque... et effectivement , je ne me suis pas attachée à voir cela (j'aurais dû !). La partition que j'ai , moi entre les mains n'est pas en ancienne clé de Do (C ) mais c'est une version retranscrite en clé de sol pour les voix SAT1T2.. .... ( Je dois interpréter cette partition prochainement. )

    On peut effacer mon message peut être, il n'est plus utile.

  • Yes I know that motet, and I have a recording with Capella Sancti Michaelis (RIC 077055), but I think that (at least their version) is a bit boring, so I don't plan to upload it.

  • There is another great motet by Johann Michael Bach: Halt, was du hast which is based on Jesu meine Freude.
