  • DE LO MEJOR CUANDO NADIE TENIA NI PUTA IDEA QUE ESO ERA DEATH MELODIC

EN EL 93. EL SONIDO DE GOTEMBURGO EN SU ESTADO PURO.

  • Friden is the vocal in this album, right?

  • @DiannaRibeiiro yep, only this album

  • @drjester666 Thanks

  • Makes you wonder why Anders left. Oh well, he's in badass In Flames now.

  • @MoonlapseOpethian the new IF is lame as fuck...

  • DARK TRANQUILITY RULEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • i love melodic death metal *-* \w/

  • the Intro is Awesome!!!!!!!! 0:00 - 1:00

    Best Song of Dark Tranquillity

  • Crimson winds.... ornaments in the dark....

  • somehow u know that anders is singing

  • skip to 1:00 minute on Crimson Winds by Dark Tranquility and it sounds simmilar to the beggining of Behind Space by In Flames

  • @DeadSilence95 you mean Behind Space sounds similar to this.

  • I think that Anders Friden sounds more like black metal. He should of stayed in Dark Tranquillity and still be in In flames.

  • Wow just imagine....Anders Friden was 18 or 19 years old this time.....

  • Does Friden only do vocals for skydancer and Stanne did the rest?

  • @LordXViper

Yes. Anders Friden just did vocals for the first Dark Tranquillity album.

And Mikael Stanne just did vocals for the first In Flames album.

Then the singers changed the band and both started a Melodic Death Metal career....

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 wow awesome

the Jester Race was my favourite album by in flames so i guess that would explain it.

In flames is good but i have always preferred DT over them

  • @LordXViper

In general Dark Tranquillity made the better job musically til nowdays. Cause they never left their Melodic Death Metal roots behind. In Flames changed immense. They are Pop Rock/ Pop Metal now. But In Flames is still my favourite band cause their first 5 albums are fuckin pure brilliance (Lunar Strain, Jester Race, Whoracle, Colony and Clayman). On Reroute To Remain they changed their sound extremely. It almost sounds like Nu Metal but its also a good album. But after then....

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 i dont like there new sound either

reroute is still a good album but yeah they never soldout just chenged there style., after reroute they kinda sold out. i forgot about lunar strain yeah that album is amazing!!

  • @LordXViper dont u think that mikael changed after lunar strain? he is better now

  • @rowaid96 after luniar strain yes, but better is a total matter of opinion

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 i think a sense or purpose was better than rerout come clarity and STYE [soundrack to ur escape

  • @rowaid96

Oh no is disagree. IMO A Sense Of Purpose was their worst album.

  • @LordXViper

Though (old) In Flames and Dark Tranquillity will always be my favourite bands....

  • not a single fucking dislike yet! rocks!

  • Not many In Flames fans here. LOL. NOT A SINGLE JESTERHEAD! JEEZZ!

Once an IF fan! ALWAYS A IF FAN!! JERRRRKKZZZ!!!!

IN FLAMES WE TRUST!! TO THE DEATH!!!

  • @matrixhz I'm an In Flames fan.

  • @matrixhz In Flames fan till death right here. New, old, In Flames forever.

  • @tuedor4ever agree with you...

i got bored of " in fames are sellouts" or "in flames got imo" i can t say the old albums are the best but still in flames continue to evovle and make good albums and i don t care if it will be death melodic (still more preferable) or metalcore since the music quality is always perfect....

  • @myheartinflames96 nice speach =)

  • I'm thinking of buying this album, but I read it doesn't include the words, would anyone please tell me if that's true?

  • @ShadowlOflDarkness It has the lyrics in the booklet, atleast mine has :)

  • @Menduros Thanks for answering!

  • This whole album reeked of pure awesomeness. Those who disagree don't like this album.

  • @DagosZeta :D

  • Man albums like this and lunar strain we're such epic albums. The true gothenburg sound!!! Till IF lost it after whoracle :(

Any bands out there that till sound like the old school gothenburg sound?? With harmonized leads and folkish elements etc???

  • I love DT. ♥

  • all i know this music is pure art and talent as simple as that :P

  • That was REAL fuckin brilliant and original Götheburg Melodic Death Metal.

There are much kiddies who listen to new Soilwork albums and say:

"dude i listen to Melodic Death Metal".

    This was pure perfection!!

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 i know. it sucks... or the kids who listen to As i lay dying and Scar symmetry saying they listen to Melodic death metal lol

  • @i5Alex

Scar Symmetry was pretty legit melodeath in their first two albums but have now shifted towards melodic metal in general.

As I Lay Dying is metalcore yeah but if your an idiot and don't pay attention to metal you could confuse them for something like In Flames.

  • i really cant hear the as you put it iron maiden style riffs

  • If you're not a fan of this band just take your time to see ANY song from them later, detailed + lyrics :) gl

  • @Nirvanalize Anders is a horrible vocalist now...

  • THESE WERE ALBUMS... not this shit today :(:(:(

In Flames old albums, at the gates, dark tranquillity... can make me cry!

  • Lunar Strain, Jester Race and Whoracle are the only In Flames album I liked. At the Gates did a wise choice and disbanded when they were at the top of their career. Slaughter of the Soul in 1995 and then they quit. Only Hypocrisy was good enough to make it till' 21st century. Their entire discography of 90's are the best from them. Their albums now are shit. It's too melodic for my taste.. they have lost their aggression.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 I think Colony and Clayman are both good as well, they got mainstream with Reroute. If Anders would have kept Jester Race vocals all along it would have been way better.

  • @InterpolFL yup

  • @InterpolFL anders vocals on whoracle were his best then went down hill on clayman

  • @InterpolFL Colony was good, quite thrashy, but Clayman wasn't too great. After that...It's better not to say anything.

  • @MrCatFetish Colony is thrashy? How so? It sounds pretty standard, mid-paced to me.

  • @Metalmania84 I felt it had some faster paced songs than the albums before it, like Zombie Inc, and the vocals remind me of Teutonic thrash vocals.

  • @InterpolFL I agree fully that Anders should have kept his Jester Race vocals but I think he was losing his edge on keeping it harsh and heavy. I mean hes not bad now a days (he has a VERY unique sound) but the style changed so much, it's so sad to even recognize In Flames as Melo-death

  • The lyrics of each of the songs on Skydancer just blow my mind. I just love this band!

  • You know, I never noticed the Iron Maiden -esque riffs before, but now I can't NOT notice them.

Thanks for making this annoying to listen to

    D:

  • Yep, many melodic "death metal" bands rip off 'Maiden so badly, its embarassing. This is a perfect example of that :)

  • @Metalmania84 i don't understand understand why you post so many dark tranquility videos. I would think it would be to spread the glory of the first dark tranquility album. but then you go and post negative comments about dt ripping off another band. that makes me sick.

  • @BringerOfTruth123 I like this album, that is why I uploaded it, indeed. Dt ripped off more than just Iron Maiden, so what?...

  • @Metalmania84 first of all how did they rip off iron maiden because they had hguitar harmonies? oooh big rip off. who else do you think they ripped off?

  • @Metalmania84 Kinda hard to make any music without ripping some band off, whether it's done on purpose or not.

  • @justushukka If i felt bad about it, I wouldn't have uploaded this album, would I? :)

  • @Metalmania84 The intent of melodic death metal was to blend the melodic and harmonic sensibility of NWOBHM bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden with the aggression of death metal bands like Death, Possessed, and Morbid Angel, so yeah, you would notice some Iron Maiden INFLUENCE, but not necessarily ripping off.

  • @Justice4AllOne If this doesn't sound like Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, then I guess you're right...

  • @Metalmania84 I don't hear anything in the song I would consider a "rip off" of that song, no. Dark Tranquility, and other bands in that genre, were UNDOUBTEDLY influenced by Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, but I have never heard a riff of their's that just screamed "RIP OFF," at me *shrug*

  • best DT song on their best album!!

  • I very agree!!

  • Pure Melodic Death Metal FTW! <3

  • solo is epic, Crimson WINDS!!

  • was this back when they had the dude from in flames? Huge difference..reminds me of straight up black metal

  • yep Anders from in flames sings on this one, don't hear any black metal here tho, death metal with a shitload of iron maiden worhsipping riffs and death metal style tormented vocals

  • Pardon my misconception. It reminds me a lot of a black metal band I heard so I figured it was in the genre. But then again that same band could be considered viking metal so nvm I guess lol. What exactly are they?

  • melodic death metal, with way too much iron maiden ripping :)

  • lol enjoyable stuff =D

  • BUT IRON MAIDEN ROCKS!!! UP THE IRONS!!

    and UP THE DARK TRANQUILLITIES!

    lol

  • @fatguyddr "Up the dark tranquillities?" lol.

  • Anders has never done any Black Metal work, but when his vocals were this great i do hear a slight black metal style in them now that you brought it up

  • These lyrics are so awesome.... sounds like Old English almost

  • That' what they based their lyrics on. Until they released The Mind's I, their third album.

    This is their first.
