Viper is a dog if a car. Crap build, unsophisticated handling but it looks good. But there is one big question: how did Dodge only manage to get 500bhp from a 8.0ltr V10 engine, when Jaguar can get 510bhp from a 5.0ltr V8. I know why, it's called lazy engineering. Garbage, utter garbage.

Apart from that, the Jag is one THE best cars money can buy, even better than a DB9 or shall I dare a DBS or a 599!?

@peanuts2105 Dude, are you serious? its not lazy engineering, Dodge can full well get 500bhp from a 5.0l, they reasons, why? you get less stress on the engine an a bucket loads more torque, and who the hell wants a 5.0l v8 viper when you can have a 8.0l v10? the viper is a muscle car, and nobody wants a 3.0l v8 muscle car, and the jag better than a 599 or db9? well you a ClEaRlY out of your mind.

@JellyBird12 Stress is not an issue with Jags AJ V8 III. The Jag engines are precision designed and engineered by some of the brightest people. It is designed to shrink continents under stress.

I bet the fuel consumption will stratospheric in the Viper, it will bearly getting into double figures and lets not mention emissions and drive line shunt and the sloppy gearbox.

History has shown that Jags are better than Astons in terms of reliability and performance. DB5 v E-Type and the old XKR v DB7.

@peanuts2105 that engine is easily capable of 1000 hp on stock, yes stock internals. That jaguar engine is going to be bending valve stems at 75,000 miles as is. The viper is built like a truck, hence why in its ACR form it copes with the increased traction so well. The new Mercedes SLS is based on the Viper platform. ignorant opinionated Europeans strike again.

Not European, but English?, I have worked on everything from Tr6's to MG B's, to Lotus Esprit's. The engines are always leaking, and wearing parts faster then Margret thatcher giving a blow job. The Jaguar 4.2 is underpowered, old as shit, and bends valve stems after 75,000 if it doesn't break a water pump first. The only good Brit engine was the Merlin, which was not for cars.

Bentley 6.0 550bhp W12 is a monster (no, it's not a VW); Aston's glorious 6.0 V12 is silky smooth aristocrat of an engine; Land Rover's 3.6 and 4.4 TDV8's are as reliable as a ticking clock and lets not forget those English F1 engines. 90% are made in England, even Mercedes make its F1 engines in Blighty. Yep, the English can't make engines, no wait..

not really. the car's limit is impossible to find, i've seen that in many reviews. it gives you no warning signs you're approacing the limit, and then when you don't expect it, the tires let go, and you go spinning into a ditch. it has an 8.3 liter v10 with 500 horsepower? bmw has a 5 liter v10 also with 500 horsepower, it's pathetic!

the viper is for people who don't understand what a good car is... much like yourself.
