I think his delusions were caused by the energy drinks (and probably Meth), taking the Bible literally (which is always a mistake), believing "The Secret" DVD (which is just bullshit designed to seperate the gullible from their money), and a lack of sleep (which can lead to delusions, paranonia, and "dreaming" while awake). The lack of food was NOT a problem. I once fasted for 38 days while going to university full-time and maintaining an A+ average. A person can be fine on just liquids.
