  • I have always though that Gordon Elliot would have made a good successor to Bob Barker on TPIR.

  • I wish the Queen of TTTT Kitty Carlisle would have been there!

  • Research tells me this is from either Monday or Tuesday of Gordon's final week on the show (10/22 or 23/90).

  • @Hondo20132 Actually this is episode #21 or the first show of Week 5 of Gordon's eight week tenure.

  • Sir Burton.

  • I remember when sarah purcell was on

    real people

  • So-the hell- what. Garry Moore, Bill Cullen, or Joe Garagiola was the only person with any daggon business behind that desk. Gordon Elliot...? Yeah, right.

  • All episodes with Gordon Elliott, Lynn Swann, and Alex Trebek have been aired on GSN previously.

  • Burton Richardson looks like he's having fun with the first story. Having seen this on GSN it's too bad this didn't last more than a year; although the changing of hosts wasn't it's only problem, from what I understand it wasn't cleared by many NBC stations because of it's time slot(I.E. Match Game '90) plus it seemed like at that time the networks were trying to get away from game shows in daytime in favor of talk shows.

  • I wished all those legalities had not forced Gordon Elliott off this show. He was great!

  • @megamanmaniac What legalities?

  • From Wikipedia:

"Gordon Elliott had to leave the show eight weeks into his run because of a contract dispute with his former employers."

I have no idea who his former employers are.

  • @megamanmaniac Rupert Murdoch, maybe?

  • @megamanmaniac Well, I found a Wikipedia article about him that said he was involved in a program from 1987-1991 called "A Current Affair". Maybe that had something to do with it.

  • there was on one episode of to tell the truth 1990 when the giant wall closed too fast after the clebrity walk down was done and you could here it bang on the floor.

  • wAS THIS THE PREMIERE EPISODE?

  • Nope; 21st.

  • This was definitely the slickest version of the show. In an interview with Pat Sajak, Mark Goodson said that TTTT was his all time favorite show.

  • It was also the only one of his shows that he hosted. He only subbed twice for it, once for Bud Collyer in 1967, and for Alex Trebek in 1991.

  • Episode 21, 10/1/90 airdate, as per a TTTT90 episode guide.

  • Also, can you please post a Trebek episode?

  • Thanks for posting an episode from this version! I've always wanted to know what this looked like!
