Hanson had a bad rap back in the day because Mmmbop song was the song that introduced them to the world and many people resented them for it because it was extremely catchy, yet sounded gimmicky and nonsensical, even though it did have a clear message and was nominated for Grammys. Due to this, most people immediately wrote them off as one hit wonders, overlooking their obvious talent as performers and songwriters. And now we have the Jonas Brothers. What has the world come to?

people use to complain about Hanson because the bar for talent in the 90's was high because there was such an abundance of talent. so compared to hanson the other talent in the 90's they weren't the best.
I will always love the HANSON even though were not in the cool 90's anymore. Weird has always been my favorite song. It speaks out that we can all be a little bit weird sometimes. LOVE YOU HANSON!!!!

Epcot has their International Food and Wine Festival every fall and part of that is the Eat to the Beat concert series. Hanson is performing tonight (or did since they're done for the day) and tomorrow. The number of screaming fans made me very proud and of course they played Mmm Bop!

I was Zac's age when this song was released. Watching it now, he looks so young!!!! I didn't realize then just how remarkable they were/are. This song will ALWAYS be my favorite Hanson song. <3

Most people will hurt you just to feel superior, and they will care for their pride more than anything, but it's probably because they've been hurt before. We have all hurt and been hurt, and Hanson manages to capture that perfectly into this song. It makes me wonder:"why not to just love each other?". Maybe 'cause if so, there wouldn't be bad or good people, since everybody would be the same, and so, there would be nothing to feel superior for. Circle begins again. Wish we could get over that.

@ScoutBaxxter i'm not a fan of hanson. in fact, i hated the band when they were around back in '97. seeing it now, i kinda like this song but the video is amazing. only a genius like van sant could pull something like this. he understands that the medium of a music video can be much more.

@lozzabunny84 Have you heard their 2007 song "Been There Before"? One of the best Hanson songs ever created-and they made many greats! Very soulful and catchy and soothing...The song is a tribute to their musical influences, the original rock n roll..You can find it here on youtube, search "been there before hanson odin1412"- a fan made video that is apt for the music
