@llisag The horse is stressed out of its wits, but I wouldn't know why it coudln't sleep laying down. Because of that rack? That has nothing to do with it.
Give me my fooooodddd Duuude!!! than i will will run a good race... I am practicing my getttie up! to win & i will Break out of da barriers soon in ze stables...lol! Horseee warming up b4 winning..action @ the end of winning post can y'all see!!!:-)))
The Horse is not being totrtured... Growing up wth racehorses, I can tell u late the body language here is ctually excitment that its dinner time..U will c this if u watch again 2ward the end when Colt/filly is sniffing thru the air. Horses r put into stables 4 special reasons...Its not "Horse Jail" 4 them.. Most of the time they'r out in the paddocks, having foals or being ridden. Hope iv put some of ur minds @ ease.:-)
That horse is actually suffering from under-stimulation. When a horse is kept in its stable for too long it will develop strange psychological behavior out of extreme boredom. Dogs do the same thing when they are kept in a crate for too long - but they just bite at the air and thats called "fly biting"
Sorry to ruin it for you - that Horse isn't being cute or funny. That horse is actually being tortured slowly.
@darbinx Your concern is good Darbinx, but i can assure you the horse is not being tortured.:-) I grew up on a Horse property i know, especially after 15yrs. This body language is becos they are excited, most probably dinner time. I can only see creativity in this clip. How clever of someone to think up such a concept of horse bobbing to music with his head in rythmmn to that song.. Hope u will see it from a different angle now..:-)
I had a horse that abhored rain puddles! Whenever she had to walk in one she would tippy toe and dance like a dressage horse. It was pretty but if she could talk I knew she would have been saying ew ew ew ew yucky mommy!
she looks itchy and bored. or it could be almost feeding time and she is getting excited. or her owner just came and she is excited to go for a ride!!
my horse does the exact same thing and sometimes worse if he sees someone stnding there but they arent paying him enough attention..hes a jealous booger..looks like hes bored and wants attention to me..but just my honest opinion
This horse is suffering severe stress, would you like to imprisoned in a amall box for no reason!!!!?

The horse is bored, stressed and ruining its front legs. IT's not funny at all, but typical for horses keeping in stables all day long.

@llisag Horses by nature sleep standing up most of the time, even in the open. it's their animal instinct , not because he's in a stable.
