no they sound way better than vancouvers. that sound that comes out sounds like alienships than BART trains. Vancouvers mark Is could do with a bit of tinkering

@ttcsubwayfan Well, vintage is a thing and technology is another. You are lucky because here in Montreal, the STM is wasting time dealing with every possible company on Earth to get a contract for our new MR-08. They tried at last with Zhuzhou Electric from China (since Bombardier's price was too high), but this one wanted a rail concept only, saying that the "tire" techonlogy is out-dated. So, we're still on another round of offers reported in April I think.

I hate Montreal! :-(

My dad designed those back in 1977. I'm sure they haven't been serviced since Rohr left the rapid-transit market about 3 years later.
