  • tow questions, 1 why does ellesmere station have nobody and second why does the train sound so loud between scarborough centre and midland station?

  • says rt on the train.srt stands for scarbrough rapid transit.

  • Can't wait till these things get replaced by LRTs.

  • no they sound way better than vancouvers. that sound that comes out sounds like alienships than BART trains. Vancouvers mark Is could do with a bit of tinkering

  • @GordonFreemanD40 no you are wrong

  • Lol, was there anyone even on it?

  • Man the factories you pass by on this line have horrid smells.

  • @Shin27ecstasy not in the skytrain

  • @roryfitzpatric i ate lunch in a skytrain one time i cant remember if there is a cupholder but i think there was

  • lol the brakes

  • wow the brakes man gees but anyways it sounds like the vancouver skytrain

  • It really is.

  • no the ttc rt is better

  • i think the vancouver mark 1's are better.

  • if you go inside go to where the driver sits look inside you can see a CUPHOLDER

weird thing to find in a subway

common to find in a car

  • @jason123456789210 people eat lunch their, i have done it on the vancouver mark 1's, its quite useful.

  • @roryfitzpatric lol i went to vancouver for holiday cuz in germany school gets a break for winter when it snows alot and i didnt see the window on the door so i dont know that yo can eat inside

  • When will to SRT retire?

  • oOuch at those brakes!

  • @ttcsubwayfan Lol. It makes me sick to think they had four generations of "metros" that look just the same as the 1954's original Gloucesters. I mean, ok, they'are nice & vintage, but come on, we're in 2010.

  • @sinning1966 I find the current trains much nicer than the upcoming rockets. They just don't look the same anymore. :(

  • @ttcsubwayfan Well, vintage is a thing and technology is another. You are lucky because here in Montreal, the STM is wasting time dealing with every possible company on Earth to get a contract for our new MR-08. They tried at last with Zhuzhou Electric from China (since Bombardier's price was too high), but this one wanted a rail concept only, saying that the "tire" techonlogy is out-dated. So, we're still on another round of offers reported in April I think.

    I hate Montreal! :-(

  • My dad designed those back in 1977. I'm sure they haven't been serviced since Rohr left the rapid-transit market about 3 years later.

  • This train Its sounds alot like the skytrain in Vancouver

  • its only the mkI car not the MkII cars

  • are those trains running on manual right now.

  • I think they're still semi-automatic.

  • I love the Scarborough RT :)

  • short train 4 cars

  • scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

  • WHERE IS THIS LOCATED

  • yeah...they sound like that about half the time now-a--days

  • The brakes...ouch!

  • Yeah, no kidding. I nearly lost hearing in my left ear. Not to mention, when was the last time those trains went in for maintenence lol

  • UGH I know!

    YO, GUY!

  • well those breaks are well lubed and maintained huh?
