I'm currently using an old-ass PC, it has a Pentium 3 processor, 512MB RAM, and a ATI Rage 128.
To be honest if all you need a PC for is internet/coding/word processing, you don't even need a new computer. I have debian installed, and it meets my personal requirements for a computer. The only reason I would buy a new computer would be for video-editing, and gaming, but for some reason you see people buying computers that cost over $1000 even when they don;t use any resource-intensive programs.
if the pentagon is lisining??? no the resin you no how to use vista is because you are use to microsoft i love both computers windows when i want to do programing and mac fore easy things
i fully agree with you on all you're saying about why users don't like PCs. they download all sorts of shit and usually don't have security. i had a rather nice PC, (around $1600) and it ran very well, i still prefer the user interface and build quality of macs. sure, they have their cons on games and what not, but i just like it a little better. not saying it's better in the scheme of things it's just me. also... LOL at the new OS install. people don't understand what system requirements are.
@jaclegonetwork specs don't really matter when comparing 2 separate operating systems. 4gb ram in a mac is about equal in performance to 8gb on a PC. macOS uses it's components more sparingly and gets the most it can out of a certain amount of use.
@muratner Join our Mac Community and you will never never never never regret it cause my old mac is running on the system it came with, never been reinstalled.
A lot of people who complain about PC's don't know how to take care of one. Before I ever got a Mac, I knew how to take care of the computers I built. I did the same with my old G4 tower. My biggest complaint with Apple is they don't make a 1200 dollar tower anymore. Back when I was using XP on computers I built, format the hard drive once a year, get out the ESD mat, tear computer apart, Isopropyl alcohol on all the contacts, blow out the dust. Keep Norton up to date, runs like a champ.
I will start off by saying that I don't hate Apple. I don't bother with Apple anymore as I use Windows 7 and Linux. I don't understand playing games on a computer as that is what 360 or PS3 is for. Most Apple fanboys don't know the exact specifications of their system. When I used to be an Apple fanboy I DID know my specifications. I had REAL reasons why I preferred my Mac as I have REAL reasons I prefer Windows 7 now. Microsoft leaves Open Source alone, Apple doesn't.
@BSODwins that's still a mac... so you're saying that motorola processors are what made macs different? pcs use both AMD and intel processors... if what you're saying is true every machine with an AMD processor isn't a true pc...
ALMOST WHAT I AM SAYING. when masc really were macs they had proprietary hardware. if it had a AMD it would still not be a mac anymore either. the cpu is the base plaform for any computer, so using a intel or amd that pretty much means that the motherboard, ram and the rest of the computer is the same as what you would find in any hp, dell, etc. Like i said the only diffrence is the OS. btw its just apple now. mac is just part of the model name.

Mac: parents pay my bills/i'm an adult and pay my bills/i'm an editor/i want a computer that maintains itself/(and the dreaded) OOH LOOK AT THE APPLE! I NEEED IT.
Pc: parent's pay my bills, and wouldn't buy me a mac..../parent's pay my bills and i love gaming/im an adult and pay my bills/i'm anti apple and i don't know why... i just am./i'm into industrial machinery, none of the software i need runs on macOS.
@AvoidEmpirePS3 don't stereotype. i have a 15" macbook pro running lion and a Dell XPS 540 machine running Win 7. XPS machine little under 2K, macbook around 2400. both worth every penny. but the mac is simplified and very in-and-out, a lot less worry, a lot less maintenance, no annual 70 dollar antivirus subscription. <------ That's why i like macs. not for the apple. both run great! both have their pros, both have their cons. end of story. windows could use a GUI update tho.. :/
I recently built a PC with a 3.4 - 3.8 GHz eight thread i7, 16 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, 2 TB HDD, 1 GB nVidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti, 32" 1080p LED TV, and 750 watt power supply, all for slightly over $1,000. Competing iMacs start around $3,000. An extra $2,000 for a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card, smaller screen, worse GPU, and that steaming pile of dogshit Apple calls Mac OS X Lion. Yet people still believe those pieces of crap can compete...
i Got a computer i built that has a 2.6ghz amd athlon 2 quad core, 6gb of ddr3 1333, a 1tb hard drive, nvidia gtx 260, coarsair h70 water cooler, and a 575watt psu in a coolermaster Haf 922 case running windows 7... i spent $550 and i can play any of the newest games on it with no problem what so ever.. also never gets viruses becuase i have common sense
The part about the guy installing Vista on a 18GB HDD is hilarious =))) I don't know how great Mac OS is but I've never had any problems with windows 7. and yeah many dumb rich bitches that I know bought Macs because they heard Macs don't get viruses. Just because of that.....
The difference is on the OS. Windows is generic, Mac is build upon a OS for that OS only...You can't place a Ferrari engine on a Toyota. Mac OS is build upon Unix and the Mach kernel from NEXT. Mac applications are self contained. Everything that the application need to run is within the application itself. The file system of a mac is way more secure because of its structure and levels of security. If you want I can send you the correct information.
If it were more secure, then why are industry experts like Charlie Miller (former NSA op and Mac lover), proclaiming OSX to be the easiest machine to hack?
Miller himself has said that hacking Macs is "so much easier, because you don't have to go through all the anti-exploit mitigations you find in Windows."
It also explains CNET's comparison showing Windows 7 obliterating Snow Leoaprd when it came to CPU-intensive workloads and benchmarks, such as VFX rendering.
I have never had a problem with windows 7, however, I do think vista was bullshit. All I did was browse the web (safe sites i.e google) and it slowed down to hell, until it became enbarable. Xp is ok.
Got my PC for 600 bucks 3 years ago. Has a 3.0ghz AMD 64 bit processor, 8g of RAM, never had a problem. Also, I don't want to have to buy another computer (MAC) just to upgrade something. With a PC I can control that. Like he said, all you have to do is listen to Microsoft.
Definitely agree. I spent $1600 on my laptop with Windows 7 never had a problem with it I don't think it's been shut down in 2 months. I plug it into my dual monitors wireless keyboard and mouse to do all my programming. I tri boot ubuntu and OS X, ubuntu for work, and OS X for photoshop and designing my personal website.
well, I don't own a Mac, but use one daily at school during film cause I'm an editor, but my 1400 PC with a 2500k, 6950 8gb of ram, 2tb hard drive etc destroys the Mac pros we have at everything except rendering video(the Mac pro is about 30 secs to a minute faster) I got to agree, my film teacher was a Mac fan girl, until I showed her my PC, now she's paying me to replace her Mac pro at her house :)
Spent 1200 on my desktop in 2006, then when it crashed (6 months later) it was going to cost 250 for some one to fix it. So I got a Mac for 1000 and it's still my only computer. You might say "it works fine, it works great!" love the video tho! I totally agree! Most people don't put all the money into a PC that they do in a Mac, and that is the problem. I'm a Mac, always will be.
The only thing Windows is useful for is DX11 and games. Mac is like a shiny expensive version of Linux. Window's security is an imaginary concept (UAC is a joke). Oh and you can take a part a Mac, like a big boy, just like a regular system you simpleton. PC < Mac < Linux... PC being the worst. People that don't use a Mac regularly have no idea what they are talking about. I use MBPro on 10.7_core i7 with BackTrack5 in vm for daily operations & dual boot Windows 7 for gaming.
The reason why you can't take apart an iMac is because the all in one is faster than a tower, dodo. Plus, macs use better chips than pc. Cheap overseas chips mean regular upgrades.
I just bult a Pc for 2000 and these Mac people cant even touch my pc! U can get two processors in you pc just lioke a mac for a cheaper price. 1000$ for a 12 inch screen. Rally Macs are JUNK!
I thought there was an untrue comparison there, when mac comes out with a new OS, YES they charge but not half as much as Windows.. lets take windows 7 for example the home PC version costs $119.00.. and Lion costs $30.00. and updates for both are completely free. but I gotta say for me personally mac has better software and service and it is a pleasure to use.
A Mac is a PC! All "PC" stands for is "Personal Computer." Unless the Mac is some sort of super computer or mainframe, then chances are it's a PERSONAL COMPUTER.
Did you not actually WATCH the video? Now go out and get a PC and SPEND as much on it as you did on your MAC. . . now QQ . . . . notice how the PC for the same price as your MAC smokes your MAC.
When more than 95% of the World uses a PC, it's not a fight . . . It's a MASSACRE.
i got a pc laptop it is great only spent $700 on my desk monitor toshiba and windows 7 pro and i only use youtube upload videos from my ipod and i use the best in my opinion video editing software got a 5tb hard drive and the software was about $50 in all about more than $1500 it wazit that much but i will spend more money on it
@bobbyz23 macs are not impervious to virus. It's just that no one bother writing virus for them.PC's are attacked because they ARE so popular. Your mac is made from a lot of GPL and BSD code - it's not virus proof, just different. I know.. I run both Snow Leopard and BSD operating systems. Hmm lets see.. spend 1500 dollars more than I should for a false sense of security OR use a free sandbox save the money and call it a day.. I think 'll take the sandbox.
@ThrBeastOne the only part where your PC can't beat my MacBook Pro is the graphics card, cause mine is only an intel HD Graphics 3000, but for all the rest i can kill you
@Djays5 no because you have a low ghz processor because you have a laptop the only thing you could beat me is if you have a ssd and over 8 gigs of ram. mine was 600 yours was at least 1200. and if you have intel 300 graphics, meaning you do not have a graphics card at all, any game you play will always have a much lower fps and make it unplayable, having an i7 doesn't make up for that at all you should have thought about that before you got a MacBook Pro.
Well said! really pissed off those fanboys. Go ahead mac lovers tell me how much better your mac can play half life than mine. By the Way running windows 8 on 5 year old pc flawless 13.5 second startup on old 5400rpm hard drive but you fanboys wouldn't know what that is.
@weenieandthebut Mac," Why can't you play any games or get on the internet,and why your pc running soooo slow??" PC..I have a bad virus and got hacked".........Mac .."Oh?" "Whats a virus?"
I use a 350 dollar Laptop with an AMD Sempron 2 single core processor. It came with 2 gigs of ram and for 50 bucks I added another 2 gigs of Ram. It has an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics chip with 336 MB of dedicated ram But used shares system ram up to 1.2 gigs for a video ram total of just under 2 gigs, while the other 2 gigs are running programs. it loads in 23 seconds from cold boot. I can play all modern FPS games on this with good framerate, I do video editing and graphics design. Eat Me Mac!
@TheElectricRider Thats good,but i can go on any website and not have to worry about my Mac getting hacked , getting a virus, or my computer slowing down after sometime.Disable all of of your security software,then lets see how long your laptop will last.........
i got my pc for free accualy then installed windows 7 64bit on it, the drivers all worked right after installed and it was made for vista (: mac sucks.
One more thing just to throw in there a Mac is a PC take it apart it's basically a laptop with the screen folded 180 degrees the only difference between apple and windows is operating system if I made a hakintosh guess what I can go around saying that thing is a damn Mac there is nothing to say it isn't a Mac because it is using the same computer compentents I can even throw in a thunderbolt port or FireWire for teh pure lulz face it dude you got you asshole ripped inside out by jobs
That's pretty much the point. Apple's Macs consist of hardware that the rest of the computer industry left way behind almost 2 years ago. Times are changing. Hex-core and octo-core CPUs are taking over, the latter of which (Bulldozer) is boasting an 89% leap in performance over the best CPUs in the industry.
Where's Apple? Still price gouging on generic quad-cores, cheap Hynix RAM, mobile-based video cards and the world's most insecure, easily exploitable operating system.
The only people in my school that have them are mentally challenged kids which proves my point that even a fucktard in a wheelchair drooling all over himself can take advantage of the simplicity of Macs completely udderly idiot proof now if you know not to watch a gay porn site hosted in Pakistan and piss in your computer case you should be good on windows
If you don't go to gay porn sites you'll be good but I guess if you want to see dick on dick action hosted by a vietnamese server stick with your dickintosh oh waittttt a second no flash support stick with QuickTime
Tell me Mr Macdaddy dick what're your specs for that shit a Tegra 2 with 1 GB RAM oh wait nobody gives a shit here because specs don't mean a fucking thing in Mac world because a damn Galaxy S II can process your biggest programs have fun with that graphics just $3000 awa
If you call 60,000 calls to Apple customer service a small thing back in 2009 when Mac market share was even lower than it is now, then hey, what can I say? The fact that Apple refused to help in any way, shape or form, or even give instructions that could have helped each Mac user is simple proof enough, and you should be listening.
Again, you asked for proof, and you got it. Now you're going to try and downplay it? You're a very sore loser, my friend.
@MaestroDraven Thats 2009, compared to a decade and 90million virus maleware,rootkit,free,mac users.Like before that not major, only 60,000? Compared to thousands weekly for Windows users.
@bobbyz23 I'm not a sore loser, u are, you havent wrote anything positive about Macs since yesterday without even experiencing it ,other than being one of you OS on your PC and going on google like you just did to read about the 60,000 calls to Apple in 2009.Which didnt even put a dent in their sells.
Why are you all so bad according to Macs ! it's only because your so poor and can't get them ! Even you knows that Macs are by far better than PCs ! Mac is not only the hadware but it's the OS ! I got a i5 2,4Ghz 8GB RAM intel HD Graphics Facetime HD Camera And i can swear that any PC can beat me ! I can beat any PC ! Cause your OS is so fucking bad that it can communicate with your hadware ! But Mac comes with the Best OS and no drivers to install. It's just clean and simple Don't lie yourself
Your i5 CPU gets eaten alive by hex-core and octo-core CPUs, your 8GB of RAM is 1333Mhz mid-range Hynix RAM, your Intel HD graphics aren't capable of any degree of hardware graphics acceleration, your HD camera can easily be replaced by any of the numerous HD cameras out there for PCs.
As for not communicating with hardware.....is that why the top home computers on Cinebench's rankings are all PCs? The first Mac to make the list is at 37th place.
@MaestroDraven Your hex-core will be eaten by the 2010 MacPro 64GB RAM, intel Xeon Nehalem 2 x 2,66Ghz (5,32Ghz) 24 virtual Cores. 2 x ATI Radeon HD 5770 1 Go, 4x512GB SSD (2To SSD). And don't forget that this is the 2010 mac Pro, so let's wait for the 2012 Mac Pro
Just for reference, my mid-range (I stress....mid-range, not high end) rendering station consists of an i7-950 8-thread quad-core, Gene III motherboard with X-Fi audio, 12GB of 2000Mhz Corsair DDR3, HD6800 Radeon card (dedicated desktop performance), twin 24" LED ML238 monitors, Blu-Ray read/write capabilities, a 128GB SSD drive, and a 2TB, 6gb/sec SATA drive.
Indeed. Maybe we got sucked into a time warp and we're in an era where generic i5's, integrated graphics cards and 8GB of ho-hum Hynix RAM constitutes blazingly fast and untouchable performance.
Until I hear some substantiated evidence instead of "personal experience," then I'm going to simply settle on the fact that you aren't knowledgeable enough about the subject to properly debate with me, without degenerating into a troll trying to start a flame war.
Hey, it happens. There's nothing wrong with having to learn a few things.
So much anger. It's been a while since I've seen someone take such personal offense that they start attacking someone they know nothing about. Seriously, calm yourself! There are worse things in the world to get upset about than being educated by someone who knows more.
That being said, I have yet to see you refute one of my arguments. A single one. You dodged the security issue, the hardware issue, and the performance issue, and all I've heard is "It's the best because I like it."
@MaestroDraven about 90 million Mac users who havent gotten any viruses including myself is proof enough,oh and show me any video on youtube, since you troll ,that a Mac has been compromised security wise..................Waiting .
You might want to check the 4-year history of the Pwn2Own challenge, the Safari exploit that took Apple 8 months to patch, the 60+ vulnerabilities in Safari in 2011, the FileVault exploit that allows for full phishing of a Mac's passwords within 40 minutes, and the countless other glaring holes and exploits since uncovered.
Now you're just running around in circles, as I've said all this before, plus mentioned the book that you called B.S. on.
@MaestroDraven Name one World wide Major crash or reinstall caused by a virus on a Mac .I'm not talking about a couple of isolated incidents and one hacker who challenged OSX security.Any computer can be compromised even a Mac im not denying that,but there hasnt been a major compromise as of yet.Customers bring computers to me daily or weekly,and 95% of the time its human error like viruses ,spyware.maleware.I work on Macs but its never a virus or a slow down unless its hardware related.
I'm not disagreeing with you there at all. But you haven't been listening. I already told you the different between viruses and malware. While it's true that viruses have a harder time spreading through a UNIX-compliant infrastructure due to the file privileges, the same can't be said of malware, trojans, keystroke loggers or rootkits,and macroviruses, all of which are listed as major threats, not small ones.
I would have sex without a condom in Nigeria, and neither should you.
Ironically, all of these were used to exploit the Mac with absolutely no trouble at all. Charlie Miller himself is a Mac lover, through and through, and even he said "Windows is harder to hack than a Mac." Straight out of his mouth.
Viruses are a thorn in your side. Malware and trojans are what empty bank accounts and ruin people's lives through identity theft. If you want to take the chance, be my guest. As Mac sales grow, you become a bigger target.
@MaestroDraven Im not doubting that Macs want be victims of viruses in the future but i havent seen any in the last 5 years i've been using them.If you have any computer knowlege you're gonna know if u have a virus,slow downs missing files,internet connects etc.I've had antivirus on my Mac scanned it daily never found keystroke,rootkits,or macroviruses.But i uninstalled the software because it slowed my mac down instead of helping it
Then you need to learn more about the Mac Defender fiasco. Google it. It completely bypassed all of Apple's security measures without breaking a sweat, and managed to install itself on tens of thousands of Macs. Apple Care was told NOT to assist any customers who phoned in regarding the issue, despite claims of rock-solid security and no need to worry about viruses and exploits. This is perhaps the best example to date of shoddy, irresponsible business.
To make matters worse....once the exploit was patched, the hackers responsible tried it again.....and succeeded! Twice in a row!
To quote Chris Clymer from SecureState: " …there’s actually a lot of things that have not necessarily been developed as well as on the Microsoft platform. It’s probably more vulnerable in many ways.”
For God's sake, at least install ClamXAV on your Mac and protect yourself.
@MaestroDraven See thats your problem you're googling and i've been writing to you explaining im explaining from personal experience.You have experience something before you can make a point.Read about martial arts ,instead of actually practicing and without formal training, then go against an experience martal artist and see what happens.Just an example to make a point.
I can't help you, then. You asked me to show you proof of an outbreak. I did. Now you're talking about martial arts and personal experience. Again. Believe what you want, man. I'm not losing sleep over it. If you want to live under the false concept that you're more secure on a Mac, be my guest. All the evidence in the industry is saying otherwise, and you're going to ignore it. That's your choice. Either way, use what you like, but you should be more receptive to facts.
@MaestroDraven See no proof as of yet.Take your high end triple boot PC disasble all of your antispyware,antivrus and go on any website you ,google, and see what happens to your high end, fast ,gaming machine ,immediately,or in a couple min, hours,youll be bringing me your computer saying "My computer is not acting right,its going very slow".
@MaestroDraven I wrote , show proof of a MAJOR OUTBREAK!!! Not some isolated outbreak or hack,thats what like 2 like in a decade compared to hundreds of outbreaks for Windows.
Oh, and let's not forget the mass hacking of iPhone databases. What's that? None of this ever happened? A bunch of guys just got together one day because they had nothing better to do than make stuff up?
the guy is right pcs are faster of course in multimedia in internet connections converting files all type of files all languages mac afew i think! so i believe you slowers who have macs keep it to yourselves dont advertise to others even if you live in usa you make them poorer and sad since they are going to try copy music fix files and if later after few months of studying macs try to fix their own videos and see that they have to wait even few hours! thats all
That being said, I'm not the guy with the Apple logo as his YouTube account picture, so you don't appear to be in an unbiased, lucid and proper mindset to be debating this with me. But it's been entertaining watching you try. Really, it has.
Well, it's not about beating anyone, really. It's fact vs. fiction, and so far all I've heard is fiction.
Granted, at least he's not as bad as the other guy I was debating with the other day who was defending Logic 9 by saying that ProTools wasn't capable of recording live audio. My jaw literally hit the floor. Hard to come back from such an incorrect statement as that.
@eyeinsistGT3 Not a fool,and he didnt beat me @ anything Windows are good PCs when it comes to gaming.Why do the movie and music industry use Macs 98% percent of the time? Can you answer that?
MMm hmm. You've worked on computers for the last decade, but you call B.S. on a book written by Apple's very own network infrastructure employees. This is YouTube. You can say whatever you want without a shred of proof.
And you have, in fact, where I've been quoting source, after source, after source, after source, non-stop for 3 days now. You consider this a contest. I'm merely educating you on what you obviously aren't aware of. Whether you choose to listen or not is your choice.
@MaestroDraven Yeah just like someone labeling themselves a Sales Specialist,in what,BS? You're not fooling anyone i seen you on different videos of the like trying to impress viewers of knowledge you pretend to know.Yes it has been an experience on how people can come on youtube and troll because they got plenty of time,sitting behind a PC criticizing something they havent, but want to experience.I'm not doubting Apples infrastructure.I'm going by my experience,not a book.
Seriously, guy? That's the best you've got? More childish remarks? Yes, I'm jealous of a computer that can only accomplish a 1/3rd of what my system can do, and costs a lot more. That's quite the logic you've got going for you there :)
@MaestroDraven You are a child ,you're just someone who go on differrent websites to get info to try, without success, to match wits with someone, anyboody with any real tech knowlege and whos not ,insecure, is going to put down another OS platform or Computer maker down without saying any positives.If you hated Apple so much you wouldnt be running it on your PC,I dont like Vista, i don't and want run it,i still love windows though.I'm not a gamerholic so i dont need all those intense games.
Oh, and touchpads don't make a computer. Ask anyone, be it reviewer, or Mac owner, they'll all say "neat, but not necessary." No touchpad is going to beat a mouse, which is a standard piece of equipment used by everyone.
@MaestroDraven Well when you make enough money because i see you still live in your mothers basement,buy a Mac and experience the multi touch, so you can stop being insecure and jealous of Mac users.
On the other hand, if all you bought your Mac for was random surfing and gaming, then that's fine. You overpaid by a ton for something that PCs do without breaking a single bead of sweat.
@MaestroDraven I didnt pay a ton of money $800 nothing,me personally wouldnt spend 1000-3000 on a computer,i payed that price for security and stabilty,which i get with a Mac,but im still a Windows user.
No, I make the wisest analogies. You just can't grasp them properly. I'm not talking about machines geared towards gaming, at all. In my industry, horsepower is a MUST. 4GB RAM configs in Macs are a complete, colossal letdown. Try working with large 4000px Photoshop files or a heavy After Effects comp and you'll quickly begin to understand that there's more to computers than just video games.
Arkham Asylum, by the way, is built on the Unreal III engine, which is a lightweight.
@MaestroDraven Thats why they make 8gb ram to upgrade dummy the i7 macbook can be upgraded top but can recognize 16gb,like i wrote before if i want to play intensive games i'll get an Xbox .I got a mid 2010,the newer i7 can handle intensive games with the memory upgrade.When working with photoshop and movie editing Macs are prefered in the music and film industry because they are more stable fact dumbass doubting Thomas.I also said Call Of Duty,Thats an intense game.
Yes, now go start pricing out RAM upgrades on Apple's website. Upgrading 4GB of RAM to 16GB in an iMac runs $600 dollars. It's 1333Mhz, and it's generic-level Hynix RAM. Meanwhile, Corsair and OCZ are selling 2200mHz, high-performance, ultra-low lat RAM in 16GB configs for $300 bucks.
Call of Duty an intense game? Seriously? Designed for the console market on an extremely simplistic graphics engine that was constructed in 2006?
That's the benefit of being a PC user. You underpay out of the box for fantastic, premium-level hardware configurations that can go 5-7 years without requiring a hardware upgrade, if the user so chooses. $1800 for a laptop that will last 5 years? Or $3049 for a Macbook with matched specs, let's say in the second and fourth years.
Resale value won't save you. That's just the undeniable, factual reality of the equation.

@jaclegonetwork specs don't really matter when comparing 2 separate operating systems. 4gb ram in a mac is about equal in performance to 8gb on a PC. macOS uses it's components more sparingly and gets the most it can out of a certain amount of use.

FriendofDaishonin 2 days ago
I will start off by saying that I don't hate Apple. I don't bother with Apple anymore as I use Windows 7 and Linux. I don't understand playing games on a computer as that is what 360 or PS3 is for. Most Apple fanboys don't know the exact specifications of their system. When I used to be an Apple fanboy I DID know my specifications. I had REAL reasons why I preferred my Mac as I have REAL reasons I prefer Windows 7 now. Microsoft leaves Open Source alone, Apple doesn't.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MAC ANYMORE. MACS NOW USE INTEL CPU's.
Apple is just another brand just like a hp or dell. All your paying for now is a differnet OS, thats it.
BSODwins 3 days ago
@BSODwins that's still a mac... so you're saying that motorola processors are what made macs different? pcs use both AMD and intel processors... if what you're saying is true every machine with an AMD processor isn't a true pc...
skittleschocolate 1 day ago
ALMOST WHAT I AM SAYING. when masc really were macs they had proprietary hardware. if it had a AMD it would still not be a mac anymore either. the cpu is the base plaform for any computer, so using a intel or amd that pretty much means that the motherboard, ram and the rest of the computer is the same as what you would find in any hp, dell, etc. Like i said the only diffrence is the OS. btw its just apple now. mac is just part of the model name.

skittleschocolate 1 day ago

If you want I can send you the correct information.
faitharcher 6 days ago
@faitharcher

Djays5 21 hours ago
@Djays5 no because you have a low ghz processor because you have a laptop the only thing you could beat me is if you have a ssd and over 8 gigs of ram. mine was 600 yours was at least 1200. and if you have intel 300 graphics, meaning you do not have a graphics card at all, any game you play will always have a much lower fps and make it unplayable, having an i7 doesn't make up for that at all you should have thought about that before you got a MacBook Pro.

MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@MaestroDraven Your hex-core will be eaten by the 2010 MacPro 64GB RAM, intel Xeon Nehalem 2 x 2,66Ghz (5,32Ghz) 24 virtual Cores. 2 x ATI Radeon HD 5770 1 Go, 4x512GB SSD (2To SSD). And don't forget that this is the 2010 mac Pro, so let's wait for the 2012 Mac Pro

Hey, it happens. There's nothing wrong with having to learn a few things.
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
So much anger. It's been a while since I've seen someone take such personal offense that they start attacking someone they know nothing about. Seriously, calm yourself! There are worse things in the world to get upset about than being educated by someone who knows more.
That being said, I have yet to see you refute one of my arguments. A single one. You dodged the security issue, the hardware issue, and the performance issue, and all I've heard is "It's the best because I like it."

Now you're just running around in circles, as I've said all this before, plus mentioned the book that you called B.S. on.
Written by Apple's own employees :)

@MaestroDraven Name one World wide Major crash or reinstall caused by a virus on a Mac .I'm not talking about a couple of isolated incidents and one hacker who challenged OSX security.Any computer can be compromised even a Mac im not denying that,but there hasnt been a major compromise as of yet.Customers bring computers to me daily or weekly,and 95% of the time its human error like viruses ,spyware.maleware.I work on Macs but its never a virus or a slow down unless its hardware related.
bobbyz23 2 weeks ago
@bobbyz23
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@bobbyz23

@bobbyz23
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@bobbyz23

@MaestroDraven See thats your problem you're googling and i've been writing to you explaining im explaining from personal experience.You have experience something before you can make a point.Read about martial arts ,instead of actually practicing and without formal training, then go against an experience martal artist and see what happens.Just an example to make a point.
bobbyz23 2 weeks ago
@bobbyz23

@MaestroDraven I wrote , show proof of a MAJOR OUTBREAK!!! Not some isolated outbreak or hack,thats what like 2 like in a decade compared to hundreds of outbreaks for Windows.

@bobbyz23 How can you even have an opinion if you havent even experienced a Mac other than OSX being on a Hackintosh PC?
bobbyz23 2 weeks ago
@bobbyz23
OSX.Trojan.iServices.A is just one of MANY clear-cut examples, and this was back in 2009, not 2012.
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
,@MaestroDraven Thats 2009 im talking from 1998-2012 ,excluding 2009 ,which was one incident that didnt make any headlines.

Oh, and let's not forget the mass hacking of iPhone databases. What's that? None of this ever happened? A bunch of guys just got together one day because they had nothing better to do than make stuff up?
You're falling apart at the seams!
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
the guy is right pcs are faster of course in multimedia in internet connections converting files all type of files all languages mac afew i think! so i believe you slowers who have macs keep it to yourselves dont advertise to others even if you live in usa you make them poorer and sad since they are going to try copy music fix files and if later after few months of studying macs try to fix their own videos and see that they have to wait even few hours! thats all
ORIONSEYE2 2 weeks ago
That being said, I'm not the guy with the Apple logo as his YouTube account picture, so you don't appear to be in an unbiased, lucid and proper mindset to be debating this with me. But it's been entertaining watching you try. Really, it has.
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@MaestroDraven
i have thoroughly enjoyed watching you beat this fool to death :))) nice job!!!!!
eyeinsistGT3 2 weeks ago
@eyeinsistGT3
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@eyeinsistGT3 Not a fool,and he didnt beat me @ anything Windows are good PCs when it comes to gaming.Why do the movie and music industry use Macs 98% percent of the time? Can you answer that?

"Why do the movie and music industry use Macs 98% percent of the time? Can you answer that?"
- Speculation. Show me proof.
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@MaestroDraven Yeah just like someone labeling themselves a Sales Specialist,in what,BS? You're not fooling anyone i seen you on different videos of the like trying to impress viewers of knowledge you pretend to know.Yes it has been an experience on how people can come on youtube and troll because they got plenty of time,sitting behind a PC criticizing something they havent, but want to experience.I'm not doubting Apples infrastructure.I'm going by my experience,not a book.

@bobbyz23
Seriously, guy? That's the best you've got? More childish remarks? Yes, I'm jealous of a computer that can only accomplish a 1/3rd of what my system can do, and costs a lot more. That's quite the logic you've got going for you there :)
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@MaestroDraven You are a child ,you're just someone who go on differrent websites to get info to try, without success, to match wits with someone, anyboody with any real tech knowlege and whos not ,insecure, is going to put down another OS platform or Computer maker down without saying any positives.If you hated Apple so much you wouldnt be running it on your PC,I dont like Vista, i don't and want run it,i still love windows though.I'm not a gamerholic so i dont need all those intense games.
bobbyz23 2 weeks ago
@MaestroDraven Logic? Experience working on Computers for the last decade will beat logic anyday :)
bobbyz23 2 weeks ago
Oh, and touchpads don't make a computer. Ask anyone, be it reviewer, or Mac owner, they'll all say "neat, but not necessary." No touchpad is going to beat a mouse, which is a standard piece of equipment used by everyone.
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@MaestroDraven Well when you make enough money because i see you still live in your mothers basement,buy a Mac and experience the multi touch, so you can stop being insecure and jealous of Mac users.
bobbyz23 2 weeks ago
On the other hand, if all you bought your Mac for was random surfing and gaming, then that's fine. You overpaid by a ton for something that PCs do without breaking a single bead of sweat.
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@MaestroDraven I didnt pay a ton of money $800 nothing,me personally wouldnt spend 1000-3000 on a computer,i payed that price for security and stabilty,which i get with a Mac,but im still a Windows user.
bobbyz23 2 weeks ago
No, I make the wisest analogies. You just can't grasp them properly. I'm not talking about machines geared towards gaming, at all. In my industry, horsepower is a MUST. 4GB RAM configs in Macs are a complete, colossal letdown. Try working with large 4000px Photoshop files or a heavy After Effects comp and you'll quickly begin to understand that there's more to computers than just video games.
Arkham Asylum, by the way, is built on the Unreal III engine, which is a lightweight.
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@MaestroDraven Thats why they make 8gb ram to upgrade dummy the i7 macbook can be upgraded top but can recognize 16gb,like i wrote before if i want to play intensive games i'll get an Xbox .I got a mid 2010,the newer i7 can handle intensive games with the memory upgrade.When working with photoshop and movie editing Macs are prefered in the music and film industry because they are more stable fact dumbass doubting Thomas.I also said Call Of Duty,Thats an intense game.
bobbyz23 2 weeks ago
@bobbyz23
Surely you can do better.
MaestroDraven 2 weeks ago
@bobbyz23
