Whitewater rafting on the Penobscot River

my friends and i just did this river this weekend.  it's the first one we've done and 3 out of 9 of us fell out. we were fine though, like the two hundred people that went that day all came out fine.

was very fun! well worth it, just try not to go when its too cold. first half of the day was cold and rainy

just finished my 1st trip, wasnt scared until we flipped it! As i watch this person get sucked under the boat, im reliving my awesome time!

My brother just went a couple of weeks ago and said he saw one kid not only fall out of the raft but then break both of his arms with compound fractures against a rock. This river is wicked. We do thje Kennebec river up at Moxie. Maybe in a few years I'll give this one a whirl.

wow, that's crazy. my friends & i just did the penobscot as a first time trip. it was amazing, it didn't seem nearly as crazy as your trip looked. only 1 person fell out & that was during little poc (or something?).

I just did my first rafting on the very same river... and like my entire team, i went for "swimming" as well... i dont know how to explain the fear and the adrenalin rush i had... but as humans we forget things easily... just couple of hours after that fear, i went for skydiving... Edpatton... what you went through is a scrary scary crap! Glad that you made it even with a few fractured rib...
