There have been some spread offence QB's that made it. Drew Brees Steve Mcnair both played spread offence. You can't look at the stats you have to look at accuracy reading the field and throwing mechanics. Colt might be good eventually but probablly because of spending time learning on the bench in a real nfl offence.

Comparing Timmy Chang to Colt Brennan, is this guy for real? It's like saying that Carson Palmer would amount to nothing because Todd Marinovich -another USC product- was a bust. Timmy was a local product and that was about it; he was an "adequate" player at best. The "system" made Timmy look good; Colt made the "system" look good.

he has a sideways throwing motion, this means the release point on his throws are 2-3 ft lower than where they are supposed to be. which means the chances of his ball getting batted down at the LOS or getting intercepted is much higher, also it wears your arm down faster.

He will not be a good pro, he has a horrible delivery which will destroy his elbow(which is also why so few pitchers throw sidearm), he has a slow delivery, he has never rocketed a pass into a tight space, and is always throwing those ridiculous floaters that got them killed against Georgia. You can't exceed in a run and shoot offense if you don't have accuracy and some strength. Not to mention almost all quarterbacks in college are a product of a "system". Plus I've seen Colt throw in tight spaces against teams like Washington and Alabama so give the kid a break. You think you know more than Washington Redskin scouts about the potential that he has? Getting sick and tired of people putting Colt and Timmy Chang in the same boat. Even everyone in Hawaii knew he wasn't going to be a pro QB. The key thing to look at is accuracy, foot work, and his ability to read the defense. All Chang did was memorize routes and threw the ball to a location. Colt can't do that because Hawaii's receivers adjust their routes on the fly and so Brennan has to read quick and find his open man. Colt is part of a dying breed of QBs known as gun slingers.
