  • how much torque? lol

  • The clutch was luck or those tyres had no chance. they were death waiting to happen

  • This is true CO2-terrorist firearm where is nice burnin troposfar damages couples years where developed 4 000 000 000 years.

  • @Markorepairs by the time this planet fucks itself up,we will be dead. so who cares...?

  • schlechte qualität (sound)

  • Звук ужасный

  • Si etoy con el ground de Brutus x que meten esta mierda de videos.

  • i've seen the Brutus for real, it's an amazing and scary machine. can imagine back in the days they thought this was the Devil's limousine. great project and a must see!

  • Mehr Hubraum als Wohnraum! :D

  • Comment removed

  • é um dos dragsters q jesus cristo usou a 2 mil anos atras!

  • it needs LPG ;]

  • If you can't drive a clutch, don't build a car.

  • this is extremely gay for 750 hp wtf throw a set of turbos on a big block!! i bet the power to weight ratio is less than a pedal bike!!

  • @canadiangearhead80 you gotta remember that the car components pre 1930

so 750 bhp in a car that weighs about 1500kg, that meens over 400bhp/ton

  • seeing those rockers and tappets going makes this thing look alive. brilliant

  • With 47 liters, who needs valve covers?

  • V12 auf Mopedreifen??? Will der damit fahren?

  • @meiselfan

außer dir jder glaub ich... undzwar seit 1908 jeder...

  • @meiselfan oh yes, that will work, lol

  • is that chain drive?

  • @Huiibuh

they killed the water pump not the cluch^^

  • sound is shit sorry

  • You will probaly never hear it agian, as they took it out for a TV Show they burnt the clutch and the owner is not willing to repair it. So you better take what you get !

  • @Huiibuh Hopefully he'll sell it to Jay Leo. He'll have it repaired pronto!

  • @Huiibuh Looks like it already has a burnt clutch just sitting there. And a gay driver.

  • @Huiibuh Sorry but thats bullshit. They repair Brutus in 2010. You can find it in the technical museum of Sinsheim

  • Total shame about the horrid audio :(, 'd have been happier with no picture, but great audio!

Especially for a monster like this :D

  • thatst nuts

  • WTF so each cylinder has about 4000cc capacity!!!

  • They used to make em BIG.

  • Yeah this kind of engine was used in Planes like the Dornier Do X so it had to be frickin HUGE xD

  • is that a television in front he's trying to start ..

  • this is what i always dreemed to do take a ww2 fighter engine from like a spitfire and stick it onto some wheels

  • haha thats amazing you can see the valves open and close

  • Yes, the exposed valve train would need a lot more maintenance in a car, 1 meter above the dusty 1900's dirt roads, than high up in clean air...

  • i think it needs a bigger stearingweel

  • and skinnier tires

  • haha is it possible

  • These tyres, in those days they got punctured all the time. Can you imagine yourself driving,.... no powersteering

and a punctured frontwheel? No helmet, no safetybelt,....

  • power steering isn't a big issue once you've picked up some speed

  • ....but balls aplenty. Old school.

  • That's german engineering!

  • i bet it takes a big ass flywheel to run it since it swings those giant props

  • Kick it in the guts barry........

  • What gets me is all that power put to the road through those tyres. I've seen wider rubber on a bike. Must be hell to keep on the road, and bloody suicide in the wet.

  • Chain drive!

  • To think, men back then had bigger, hairier, and way much grungier balls than we do now.

    To drive that beast anyway.

  • Good God that car is 100 years old! Magnificent!

  • i love how you can see the rockers

  • What a massive babe magnet!

  • Wait a minute...didn't Leo Gorcey drive that car in an episode of the Bowery Boys?

  • Whats it do besides idle?

  • a radiator fan is enough to make a 1/4 mile pull, huh?

  • I love how you can see the lifters and springs wroking, there is no head covering the parts on the engine, thats so cool i wonder if its got fins for air cooling? or if it even gets very hit, because there is a long time between firing, and also it only revs to 2k ish. so it cant get very hot.

  • amazing ! love it! would need bigger wheels!

  • Nice monster...looks like a V-12...

  • I'd be more worried about putting 700+ HP to those skinny wagon wheels!!!

  • WANTED Driver with no mechnical ability to race v12 700 hp sports car must have life insurance !

  • lol good comment and maybe a death wish!!!

  • the CAT 3616 displaces 91L. and its a V16

  • They all need to revise their trouser length despite 12c a ton, let alone gallon. FFS.

  • Was gas like .12c a gallon when they made that thing?

  • nice u can see the rocker arms moving

  • can you imagine what we could do with 47 liters now?

  • 0 miles per gallon maybe..

  • probably just make alot of noise

  • 47 liters!?! thats 2867 cubic inches. or insane!

  • that can not be street legal!!!!!!

    awesmome!!!

  • Hahahahahahaah!! At 2:57 she sets off a car alarm!

  • It went off before that.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Looks like they mated two of the engines used in the Fokker D7 together and made a V

  • Imagine being the guy in 1908 that took that thing to speed on those tyres

  • Lol I didnt notice those tires. They are skinnnnnnnnnnnnnnny man.

  • La France chassis... Thats a fire truck maker, right?

  • 50 liters / 100 KM

  • twice as much! 1l per km!

  • torque?

  • yakkamobbfoob, the torque of this engine if the horsepower (750)& rpm (1700) are correct, is: 2319 lbs/ft @ 1700rpm. This is a very softly tuned engine by modern standards, - only 49.3 lbs/ft per litre! Most modern petrol engines make more than 70lbs/ft per litre. The best modern car turbodiesels make 140lbs/ft per litre even before they get chip tuned. So a modern turbodiesel of this capacity would be making 2130 bhp @ 1700 rpm. & 6580 lbs/ft of torque!!

  • bet that uses some gas!

  • 3 feet to the gallon

  • if your easy on the throttle.

    lol

  • @usmcg3 you meant 3 gallon per feet

  • @usmcg3 more like 3 feet per gas tank...

  • @usmcg3 10 gallons to the mile? haha

  • haha is that chain driven?

  • That is insane! The brute power would shred those tires in one burst or the throttle! Its huge, I'd like to see it take a run on The Flats with modern tires!

  • buy a new video camera, your audio sucks

  • it was just my cellphone

  • About the complaints about A/V quality. Boa721 wasn't there. Neither was I. Huiibuh was and had the presence of mind to fire up the video on his cell phone. If he hadn't, Boa721 wouldn't have anything to complain about and I wouldn't be appreciative of seeing something I otherwise wouldn't have. People like that are the ones you DON'T buy T-shirts for when you go on vacation, because they wouldn't appreciate it anyway.

    Thanks for posting unique stuff!

  • @Huiibuh iphone has incredible recording capability.

Saw it is action at the salt flats, and it is perfect.

  • @babaluboo123

Well :-) the iPhone wasnt out at that Time, when I recorded the movie. I got one a few month later. I now use a NOKIA N97 and it makes incedible Pics and Vids much better than the iPhone.

  • @babaluboo123 5mp cam? that has my 2008 6220 classic too

  • Bloody hell, could the tires be any narrower, what a death trap.
