First film to ever have an opening sequence without any scene cuts. Orson Welles and Henry Mancini were the perfect duo for this one. Fantastic post.

I could hear this blindfolded and buzzed and still know Mancini — those chords by that amazing trombone (including bass trombone!) — unmistakable!

I feel bad for falling asleep to this movie. But it was late at night sitting in on my girlfriend's film noir class, after sitting through Kiss Me Deadly.
