I try to have an idea that I'm exploring in my work, and in this case it was a continuous roof that connects a singular indoor / outdoor space. This is a 'reason' in itself, but the roof also offers varying degrees of shelter, shade, and privacy according to program it is related to.
omg people if you've noticed... this style is called contemporary... to most smart people, it is actually considered appealing... it is a very modern, chic, and expensive style, and it's the latest architectural trend... cough... cough...
Good. I think work that challenges conventional notions of 'beauty' is successful. Look at Rem Koolhaas (not that I would compare myself). Also, the house is designed to be affordable, so it should work for you on that level. (It is not apparent in this animation, but it is clear in the construction documents and pro-forma.)
interior has a really bad layout....good thing your not an interior architect :)
