I found this game in a garbage can as a child. I didn't know how to play and I only had the tower but I spent hours just hitting the buttons and watching the lights.
It's like one of those toys that when you pour water on it it grows. You just pour some water on it and wait. Next thing you know it will become the Dark Tower for real. rofl
i have one in my collection, i was lucky, i bought 1 for £1 at a bootsale in ruff condition missing some bits, then i came across 1 for £15 at another bootsale in a good box missing some small pieces, made a complete 1 from the 2, Bargain, sell in near mint condition complete in box for about £100 in the uk now, it sits next to my MB Big Trak & my Armatron on a shelve for company, love 1970`s & 80`s electronic stuff
I just bought a complete game for $300. I had it when I was younger, then I let a friend take it who in turn let someone I didnt even know take it. GONE! Its still fun.
this game should have been remade a long time ago, we've had better tech for a god long while now, but still no remakes, just like hero quest... they sure are quick to write off their fantasy games
I had this game when it first came out in 81. I really dont remember the exact object. 2 TO 4 players travel around the board to reach the tower. There are tombs and crypts you can open to find treasure or sometimes battle brigands. I think whoever finds 4 keys and gets to the tower first has to fight a buttload of brigands to win the game!
lol damn I was looking this up on wikipedia and they said it was rare these days and I remember growing up when I was in chicago I used to play this all the time. Sucks that it's probably missing all its pieces and whatnot somewhere in our garage with all my other board games considering could probably sell it for some good money but yeah, I loved this game.
Oh man, I remember this! Great times. I remember when the batteries ran low, the pitch of the tones would get higher, and the drum with the pictures on it would rotate non-stop. I also loved the flashing eyes effect created by the LED display
This was like the ultimate nerd game in the 80s. Still is today. I'm surprised they haven't showed this on the Big Bang Theory yet.

That tower seriously gave me the creeps as a kid. Even watching it now I get this "ominous" feeling that something bad will happen. LOL!

@RyanWehr It was taken off the market due to a lawsuit for intellectual property theft and was never republished. :(
