illinimaniac95 you probably play at small town courses. Most of the time small town course yardages are normally a little iffy. For example my Hometown course. I can stick my 8 iron from 215 on hole one which is a par five but for some odd reason on hole 9 which is also a par 5 I need to use a 5 iron to land it there. obviously Hole 9 is alot more accurate. You might be able to hit that far but the chances of that are pretty small.

Great swing, but make sure he enjoys playing golf. It should be a game, if he enjoys it he'll be self-motivated to want to practice and play. All you have to do then is support him. Research suggests that supportive environments are better at fostering talent that pressured or 'pushy parent' environments. Make sure you're on the right side of that line if you want him to have any chance of doing well
