  • My favorite version of the song, after Santo & Johnny...

  • @joriszsz Yeah S&J did a great bleusy version. Ronnie Hawkins' 1960 version is the one for me.

  • Cock on !

  • Great Song ....I love Gene ....is the best Rock'n'Roll singer !!

  • Janis Joplin does a great version

  • this song is about 1957 capitol cmon son show sum respect,or

  • I found it but with bad quality

I wish I had your version

  • This is great man thanks for the upload

  • My pleasure, thanks for listening / watching.

  • great photos

  • Thanks.

  • Whenever I hear Santanas' "Black Magic Woman"...I think of this classic Gene Vincent track!

  • Similar minor-key chord progressions, love them both. Fleetwood Mac's 'Black Magic Woman' is one of my favourites, and pretty much any version of summertime.

  • where can I get this any idea

  • It appears on CD "Blue 'Gene' Bop" from Rockstar Records RSRCD 025. Contains just his old BBC radio recordings from 'Saturday Club'.

  • finally a new gene song which is graet

  • Pleased to help out.

  • Hot version! 5***** Wow

  • Thanks for the stars.

  • Youre very welcome! =))

  • WONDERFUL! ThankYou So much! - E

  • Amazing Version from Gene!

I love it, thank you posting!

  • Hi Silver, thanks for all the comments. Pleased to share these unusual versions.

  • I stand corrected. I think it is the Wildcats so the guitar will be by Big Jim Sullivan

  • I googled Big Jim - very interesting history, Mr 'Session Guitar'.

  • Haunting...photos are excellent...it seems to just come so easy for "Sir B"....

    Wayne in Texas

  • Gene made it easy by recording such a great version

  • It's because it's a live recording. On Saturday Club all the acts sang live and this as backed by the Outlaws (incl Chas Hodges)

  • Thanks. I've added more details.

  • I believe this one was actually with The Wildcats backing.

  • Never heard this version before.Gene sounds as great as ever.He had the best voice from that era.

  • I've never heard this before but i will listen to it many times. Great version!

  • Thanks. Something odd happens with the guitar break at 2:30, not sure he plays it wrongly or the tape recording is messed-up.
