Supoib. I remember when Codemasters started off as two brothers programming games at home. Home-made Kinect art, game dev, tech demos and proof of concepts keeps things fresh and imaginative. People power!
I see great things in kinects future. Seeing these hacks getting made never fails to amaze me, In the next couple years it will be this very inexpensive device running our every day lives. Welcome to the future!
@roidroid - I wanted to make it from the ground up to see how everything will work and the physics involved..i am working on the viewpoints right now and trying to stabilize the main camera...
Im also currently figuring out a new way to interact with movements...look for a video on this rather soon....thanks!!!
I like the constricting cockpit viewpoint. It could be interesting if you could lean forward in the pilot seat, to see more of the world. Even lean forward & look left and right.
But if you are just one person trying to make a mech game... wouldn't it be a better idea to start with an already existing mech game and modify it?
Someone out there in the indy programming would have already made a game like this, and you can add hand control to it with their help. It could save you a lot of time.
