  • You still have no right forcing other people to believe in your morals.

  • It only seems abnormal because you make it that way. Intolerance of gay people is a new thing.

  • Its still the same principal. Its just a new scapegoat for people to hate.

  • Same reason blacks and women couldn't vote...

  • everyone is complaining about obama everyone is saying america doesn't follow the constitution that our rights are being stepped on if the constitution gave the right to gay marriage why wasen't it done when we were actuly honoring the law?

  • bigotry and fear

  • difference of opinion. deal with it. The people of Maine have spoken.

  • Ok now let's vote on your right to marry...see how that makes you feel.

  • lol say what you want but God is the only thing that i fear

..............the truth is kinda scary huh

  • lol not anymore

But anyway, as I've said many times, voting on a civil right is:

    1) unfair

    2) an affront to the Constitution

Hopefully, the ruling will be challenged and eventually overturned, as Prop 1 (much like 8) is very, VERY unconstitutional.

  • Since is when taboo behavior a "civil right?"

  • The right for every single adult to get married isn't "taboo behavior". And it is a civil right.

  • when does abnormal behavior become a "civil right?"

  • Marriage isn't abnormal behavior.

  • Four liberal judges and the courts overriding the vote of millions of voters is unconstitutional. The people responded with 1 and 8.

  • Hughster, do you ever find yourself accidentally eating sand or forgetting to breathe? It's hard to imagine that anyone could survive day-to-day life while being that dumb.

    Please tell us your secret.

  • Hughster: you're a terrible person and you have no idea how our nation works, do you? Voters happily trash civil and individual rights. The Bill of Rights exists to curb the tyranny of the majority. "Activist" judges ensure that our laws obey the Constitution- THIS IS THEIR JOB. Checks and balances.

  • Support fairness for all. Stand for marriage (equality), Maine!

  • I am not gay but strongly support gay Marraige and I live in Maine and I was so happy when it happened. thank you Maine.

  • Now maine vt mass ct but of course my great state of New Hampshire. Well won't happen here. :(

  • Good to hear. I know the whole country will follow suit eventually.

  • I grew up in Maine but live in California very near to you and yours. Its odd to me because I'm much more comfortable being gay here in California than Maine yet Maine approves gay marriage and Its no longer legal here in California. Just doesn't make sense to me.
