i love spiderman because even before he got his powers, his life as peter parker was a mess although technically since it was peter getting his spider powers that gave birth to spiderman, if peter's life wasn't a mess to begin with there would be no spiderman

It's always been a pet peeve of mine when Stan Lee or others say Peter is just a regular guy even though he has a genius level intellect. Geniuses are not regular people. That being said, Spider-man is still one of my favorite superhero's

Well, then no one is regular on Earth because everyone is different and unique. Everybody has a talent whether hidden or shown. Some people are academic geniuses, some are superb artists, some can play a certain sport really well, etc.

Geniuses have an I.Q. above 140 and they make up about 25% of the population. Peter was not an "average Joe" before he got his powers. He was a genius and a social outcast; two things that don't make you a normal person.

That's pretty risky considering some might have toxins that are too strong for you like Black Widows, certain types of tarantulas, Brown Recluse Spiders, etc. There's a chance you might become like what happened to Poison Ivy in Batman.
