This man was in a state of spiritual conflict or crisis ,when he was CAT STEVENS. He had no choice but to seek spiritual answer to his quest. He found a spiritual answer in a faith with which we may not be well familiar. He only himself can answer this burning question that,in QURAN , what he exactly saw ---what is it exactly , that to him does not seem to be there in other Divine Scriptures. So far the videos I have seen about him ,do not answer this question satisfactorily.

Balladeer of peace, Yusuf Islam, said that rather than go to a demonstration to burn an effigy of author Salman Rushdie, ''I would have hoped that it'd be the real thing.''

He also said that if Rushdie turned up at his doorstep, ''I might ring somebody who might do more damage to him than he would like.''

''I'd phone the Ayatollah Khomeini and tell him exactly where this man is,'' said Mr. Islam, who also stated that he stood by his comments.
