In PNG the name we have for this bird is "Muruk" . These tourists were lucky this bird didnt really get pissed off. I've seen first hand what one of these did to one of my dogs. It died after the muruk kicked it in the stomach and emptied his entrails out in the kunai grass. It went on to kick and stomp the poor dog as it lay dying, despite our attempts to drive it off. They are formidable birds and deserve a lot more respect than what these people showed. Lucky he wasnt really pissed off
